I started working on my family's genealogy|
several years ago. I currently live in New Hampshire and my roots are primarily in New England and New Brunswick, Canada. Among the family surnames I am researching are Dunton, Borey, Finch, Whittemore and LaFountain.
For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed visiting cemeteries. I find them very peaceful and a wonderful break from life's daily stresses. My husband and I like to take one cemetery at a time and photogragh all the head stones there. I then set up memorials for those who do not have one and try to research that person to find who they were.
I do not always adhere to the strict guidelines for transfers and will gladly tranfer memorials of any relative as long as they are not part of my lineage. I would actually prefer that memorials be handled by their family members, so please don't hesitate to ask. I will check your profile prior to transfer to make sure you aren't just a collector, but are a contributing member. I do ask that when requesting a transfer that you state what the relationship is.
I will try to make all edits, corrections and links in a timely manner. Please send all requests as a correction using the edit tab and allow a few days for me to do them. When requesting a link, please provide the correct memorial number.
I will not make any links when the final disposition is not known. If you do not know the final dispostion, you should not be creating a memorial.
I spend a lot of time traveling, photographing, editing and posting my photos because I love doing it. It also gives me a lot of satisfaction if I can help others find their family. I do not mind if you use the photos for personal use, but if you wish to publish or repost them, please ask prior to doing so.

The trial for David McLeod is set to start on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, for four counts of second-degree murder. The New Hampshire cold case squad finally cracked the case in 2010. The Hinas weren't his targets. He was after an ex-girlfriend and a man he thought she was dating, both of whom lived in the same apartment building as the Hinas. The whole story is so heartbreaking and sad.

Thank you for the many wonderful pictures you posted of the gravestones of several of the Sisters of the Assumption buried in Petersham. They were wonderful, devoted women, great teachers and faithful friends. It was heartwarming to be able to pay respects to them, although virtually. Thank you very much for making that possible!
