I got hooked on Find-A-Grave a few years ago. It had helped me a lot in my search for my lineage. The headstone will give you the correct date of birth and death I am searching the Howell's, Britnell's, Foard's, and Holcomb's on my side. For my husband's side I am searching, Page's, Keith's, Lindsey's and Hughes's.

William Thomas Holcomb
I was strolling through the Sullins Cemetery and noticed that 2 people were noted as children of William T. Holcomb. They are Maryann Estelle Holcomb Valentine and Benjamin Holcomb. They belong to other Holcombs. In fact, Estelle's father is buried in Georgia. I know you work hard in keeping up with Find A Grave, but I know you would want to know when there is wrong information. I'm sure somebody gave you wrong information.

On another note, I too descend from the Holcombs. My g-grandfather was William Henry Holcomb and his father was Thomas G. Holcomb. Thomas' wife Nancy Jane Jones Holcomb is buried in the Sullins cemetery. Thomas' father was Jonathon Holcomb who is buried in a private cemetery on the Buctahatchee (sp) River in Marion County. Who do you descend from?

two penelopes
Please disregard my last message and try to cancel the edit I suggested. I reread the Find-A-Grave entries and now realize there are TWO 'Hezekiah-Penelope" couples.
Sorry for the inconvenience to you.

two Penelope's
We have communicated before re the Frederick families. My wife is a gg-gd of Hilkian and Penelope Burleson. Their daughter, Nancy Jane, my wife's gg-gm.
I was looking at the Find-A-Grave memorial for William Burleson, a son of Hilkiah. William had a daughter named Penelope, presumably named after her grandmother. You have this Penelope linked to Hilkiah as his wife....the wrong Penelope.
I submitted an "edit" to delete the link. Please check to make sure I didn't read the entries incorrectly.

Burleson Cemetery
Dean, I going to be going back to the Burleson
cemetery if there is any thing else you need. Darlene Palmer's (Talton Mann granddaughter) tombstone was installed just after I was there.

RE: Dellie and Ireline Gann
you are most welcome! I thought I had pictures of them but yesterday I went by and took some again, then to my surprise these were the first ones that I had taken of them. I am so glad I went by. I need to go back and check out more there. My great grandfather was John Lee Gann and Dellie was his son. My grandfather, Howard who married Ola Mae Kidd did not want to be buried there they are buried at Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Glad you like them too.

RE: Dorothy Howell Byrd
Mrs. Page, I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. I grew up in Fultondale and knew her and the children. I will be more than happy to delete my page. Thanks so much! Donna

Glad to be of service. I also sent the GPS coordinates for his grave. They may not be exactly on target, but they are very close.
