Bio Photo I'm proud to say that I'm the Genealogist or Record Keeper in the Family, I'm the "go to gal" when family has any date questions or whose who,, Paternal & Materntal, with more luck on my mothers mothers side. I've worked both sides for 40 years, I heard many stories at my maternal grandmothers knee, she was the one got me fascinated with history, especially my own and passed on a wealth of names, which gave me much success on my Mothers side, but I'm very short on my Fathers side...and as always much to still do.
FAMILY NAMES INCLUDE: ON PATERNAL SIDE; ADAMS, BELL, COX,DOOLEY, BROWN, McILVAIN,

RE: Scott, Palmer families
Hi Diana,

I have quite a few Scott's in my database, but I don't believe any of them are my direct ancestors. Just married into the family here and there. Are you looking for any particular Scott?

I grew up in Indiana, but now live in Vancouver, WA after retiring from the Navy.

Conservative Friends Cemetery
I attempted to find this cemetery in Northbranch, Kansas and could not locate it. I contacted Toni who photographed stones in that cemetery. The cemetery is on a dirt road and all of the stones in the cemetery have been photographed already.
I am just letting you know that the individuals that you have requested photos for in this cemetery have no stones.
Hope this helps your hunt.

RE: Congratulations on your selfless contributions.
I have completed all of Section C and am now working on Section E. However, I usually photograph others around the Find A Grave photo requested person. So I have them all over the cemetery. This cemetery is where my husbands family is all buried. I also pass it on my way home from work.

Harvy Winfield Scott
Hi Diana, I see you maintain Harvy's memorial. Are you related? He is my grandfather's brother. Lynne

Marion E. Adams
Diana-I saw your bio at findagrave.com along with the photo of Marion E. Adams of Bedford Co, Indiana.
Do you have any idea who his parents were? I have some Adamses from Bedford, Lawrence Co, Indiana that I am trying to find out their parents. They were siblings, Andrew Jackson Adams who married Eliza Irwin George (George was a previous husband) and Jane Adams who married Samuel Stewart Irwin. Their children were double cousins because Jane and Andrew married Irwin siblings. They left Indiana and moved to Texas in the early 1840s. I have that their parents were Wilson Adams and Matilda Grant. I have no knowledge of the Irwins' parents though. Possibly your Marion's father was a sibling to Andrew and Jane. Jane and Samuel did name one of their sons Marion.
The above is just what I can remember at the moment without dragging out the family tree, but I would be glad to pull out my research and compare notes with you if you are interested.
Thanks -- hope to hear from you.

RE: Welcome to this wonderful group
Thank you Diana, You are right, I am hooked. I just hope they don't kick me out at the cemetery. So far the mgt has been real helpful. I'm sorry I came so late to this research because I have 101 questions for Mom and Dad. But I am determined that my grandchildren will know as much as I know about the family. My e-mail is mommypower@comcast.net and I would be glad of any advice you have to offer. Jody N.

RE: Lilly LaRoach
I uploaded another picture. I really can't believe I did that. Again, I apologize for the first picture. As far as managing it, I don't know anything about that. I just took the picture per request. Let me know if I can do anything else for you.

RE: Lilly LaRoach
I apologize that there's bird droppings on the headstone. I will re-take picture and upload. I am so sorry!
