|Jan Raby Duffy||Hello|
I saw that you left a message on Mirra cochran which is also my great great great grandparents. They had Samuel cochran who married Elizabeth Brendle who had Theodocia cochran who was my grandmother. I just had the opportunity to go to the cemetery. I did not find my great grandparents though.
Nice to meet you.
|Frances Rogers||Willis and Jane DeHart Davis|
Hi, Polly! You came to the right person! Your grandparents are buried in the Sawmill Hill Cemetery at Lauada. When you look at their memorials on this website, you will see a very interesting description of Willis which was written my Linda Gibbs. Just put Willis Hamby Davis in the search box. Your grandmother is listed as Jane D. Davis. From the census records, it looks like her name must have been Martha Jane instead of Mary Jane, but they may be wrong. Anyhow, you are a pretty close cousin of mine because her father Adam Monroe DeHart was a brother of my great grandmother Martha Victoria DeHart Frady. They were the children of Martina and Martha Ann Shepherd DeHart. If you will email me at email@example.com, I will send you a lot of information and some pictures of the family.
My grandparents (Robert and Theodocia Frady Slagle) and my parents (Fred and Violet Slagle Nichols) and other family members are buried at Sawmill Hill and I go down there a couple of times a year. The next time I go, I will take a picture of the tombstones for you.
Looking forward to your email,
Fran Nichols Rogers
