I am more than happy to make any additions / edits but please, include the FindAGrave Memorial number when not using the edit link. |
If Memorial Number is not provided while I will do my best to accommodate requests I make no promises that the request will get done.
I am happy to add family links.
Due to a recent inappropriate communication (AKA: RUDE) I will take this opportunity to say we are volunteers, we don't get paid for contributing to this site. Please and thank yous go a long way. Be nice to me I will be nice to you. Be rude to me and I just delete your messages and/or put your requests at the bottom of the heap.
I will also take this opportunity to say I have a full-time job so please be patient and I will get to your requests ASAP.

I think I found your Charles Green in Greenwood Cemetery # 133254959.
If you agree, you would please transfer him from the Vets Cemetery to Greenwood ?

August Berger was born in Feuerbach, now a suburb of Stuttgart, Germany. My cousin there has a database of 500 people who emigrated, most to USA. He is trying to track them to see where they settled and genealogy of their life. The info will go to the archives there. I help by doing other searches and research. Please send me an e-mail with your e-mail address so we can correspond a bit. We might be relatives. Thanks.

Just struck me....just because you have a memorial to Ray doesn't mean you live close by.....oops....please do reply anyway as I'd like to know your interest in his and other memorials....maybe you are close after all.
Thanks, Scott Seymour

My Name is Scott Seymour. I left a request just now for you to include Ray Laverne Kirk's parents on his memorial, but didn't request that you extend the middle name to Laverne....might you do that, once you get the official request? The REAL reason for my message is that I'm going to be doing some extensive work on these lines in the very near future, but from my position in Northern Illinois, it is difficult. I've already spotted a few memorials of my people with your name on them, so wanted to ask if you'd consider being my "boots on the ground". If so, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll discuss some of the things I am looking for. Thanks for updating Ray, and for more qualifying info, his parents moved to Chicago, and eventually to Mokena, which is just next door to where they are buried. Ray's sister would be my grandmother.

I try to keep the Veterans Cemetery updated. I volunteer there and have all of the records. I do not have anything on Charles Green.
Do you have any more info or a location for a possible stone.
Tomorrow I will be there to add photos of the recently installed stones.

Thanks for Rutherford's obituary, it is helpful to add as much information as we can to a person's memorial so that others will find. Rose

Thanks. I appreciate it! My guess is that the 23rd was the date of burial. But I am happy to have the year confirmed, as I had to guess at that.

Thanks for sending the edits. Just wanted to let you know that I accepted all of them, except that I changed back the death date to March 21, rather than March 23. I definitely see a "1" on the stone. But if you have other documentation that indicates 23, let me know and I'll add that as a note on the memorial. Thanks! Linda
