Bio and Links
Bio Photo The Whitefield (Maine) Historical Society has been collecting and preserving its local history to share with others since 1976. In early 2012 we decided to post on Find-a-Grave the information and photos, taken 2011-2013, of our cemeteries. As of October 2013 we have posted photos of all gravestones we could find [that hadn't already been photographed].

Please ask for permission before using our photos.

Feel free to contact us at the link below. We welcome your comments and corrections. If you have a better photo of a memorial, let us know and we will delete ours.

Henry E Dexter #89302642
Hello,

Could you please transfer the memorials for Henry E Dexter and his wife Nancy C (Fountain)Dexter #89302643 to me? Henry was the brother of my great-great grandfather.

Interestingly, Henry's death record (he died in Lewiston) states that he was buried in Union Cemetery in Lewiston/Auburn. I wonder if that might explain why there is no death date on the headstone for him.

Thank you,
Diane

Mooney's in Pine Grove
one son 74552850, thank you so much for the connection to the parents of these two brothers.

Their downtown furniture was a long and wonderful furniture store for so many years. I actually still have a china cabinet in my dining room that was purchased there. They had the very best of furniture and then some affordable, then very affordable furniture. Every walk of life could and would shop there.

Coming from the North country (Berlin) I am always pleased for the north country people that came south and made their fortune.

Warm Regards,

Pat Van Den Berghe, Historian
Valley Cemetery and working toward Pine Grove!
