My grandma Nora and Fiancee Bobby have saved my life. I wouldn't be the person I am without them. My Grandma is My Guardian Angel On Earth, and without her I can't imagine where in the world I would be.. She has taught me SO Much, She is the reason I have turned to our God above. For her pure faith, honesty and nothing but unconditional love for me and for Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ, She is SO Very important to me. She is who I look up to, She is the only person in the entire universe who I can trust 100%. She means SO Much to me and I Love her very much. I have come from such a hard walk in my past and without Bobby my grandma and our lord, I wouldn't be here. My main passion is FAMILY HISTORY! Geaneology, Family Tree's, Writing about family and where we all came from. I have been researching the Doornenbal's for quite sometime and I adore looking through our old family photographs for hours. Writing all that I can about our large dear family tree and spending countless hours talking about everyone in each photo precisely and noting who was married when/where to whom, and all of each family members burial resting places are located and walking those cemetaries that are close enough to me to make visiting and photographing physically possible, etc.... :-)My secondary Passion for collecting Dolls is strong. RE: Joanne McRae I'm not exactly a Relative. My husband gave me Gerald Doornenbal's obituary to enter into Family Search, and I usually can't let well enough alone. Gerald's first wife, Rosalie Headrick, was hubby's Grandmother's niece. I was surprised to see that you had already entered his death information into Find a Grave. As I looked at all of Gerald's siblings I noticed that Joanne didn't have a death date and being the obsessive-compulsive that I am went looking to see if I could find that information. I found her death date in a California death index. Still no cemetery location, but at least you now have a death date. If you could find the death certificate using the death date, it probably has the cemetery information on it. Good luck in your efforts! Cheryl Nelson
RE: Grace and Janet Zimmerman I'm not exactly sure why Grace's name was never added to her aunt's obelisk. It should have been. I'm pretty sure it wasn't, since I originally had a man take photos of the headstones. He would have photographed Grace's side of Mary's marker. They did them that way so there could be multiple names, if needed. Since Mary died second, it would have made sense to have put Grace's name on at the same time. However, Grace's parents were very young, most likely poor, and Janet's parents, Grace's grandparents, were more affluent. I'm shocked they didn't pay for the engraving for their granddaughter. At any rate, she is buried with her aunt Mary, per Sexton records.
Grace Zimmerman There are no photos of either Janet Wright Zimmerman or her daughter, Grace.
I just found this in my notes... Sexton Records. Mary Wright (Grace's aunt) was buried in Block 1, Lot 1, as was her infant niece, Grace Zimmerman. Janet Wright Zimmerman is buried in Sexton Records. Block 2, Lot 1.
I will edit their memorials, and ask the man who added photos to add Mary's photo to Grace's, and take Janet's off.
Thanks for requesting a photo! I thought there was a headstone photo on the memorial. I guess I got her info off the cemetery records, and there never was a headstone. Sad that she didn't have one of her own. Somehow I thought it was on the same marker.
