Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired and enjoy doing family research and also taking pictures for Find A Grave.
If any one would like to have a memorial that I have done of their family transferred to them please let me know. And you are welcome to use the pictures of your family for your family tree but please give credit for the picture to me and FAG.
I will welcome any new information or corrections to the memorial pages or pictures that I have done. Hopefully I will get better as time goes by.
Good luck with your hunting for your family tree, branches and leaves.

RE: Briggs library
Linda,

I will do that, thanks. I want to say a huge and public thank you for all your assistance and time while I was in Ironton, and that goes for Marta at the genealogy room as well.

We got some records updated at the cemetery and I found probably three times the articles during the newspaper scans as I would have without you.

Next time I'd like to take you and Marta to dinner.

Thanks much.

RE: Hannon family
Linda,

I think I am going to stop in to Ironton this afternoon and do some research and visit the cemetery. I appreciated very much your assistance on my family back in 2014.

Verna and Claude PAYNE
Hi Linda,

Thank you for transferring the maintenance of the two graves to me. Now I will be able to add some biographical information.

But, Ethel and Ralph PAYNE are not part of my husband's family. Do you want me to transfer the maintenance of their graves back to you?

Thanks again,
Lucy

Claude PAYNE
Hi again Linda,
I have more information on Claude Payne, another family member of my husband. He was the son of Verna BRUMFIELD PAYNE and Herbert Earl PAYNE. Claude Eugene PAYNE fell through the ice while ice skating and he and another boy drowned.
Again, would you mind transferring this memorial to me?
Thanks,
Lucy

Verna PAYNE
Hi Linda,
Thank you for posting the memorial for Verna PAYNE. Verna was my husband's grandmother. She was the daughter of James Anderson BRUMFIELD and Missouri Frances HENRY, and the wife of Herbert Earl PAYNE. I have additional information I can add to it. I was in Ironton last year and also took pictures of other family member graves. Would you consider transferring the memorial to me so I can add more information?
Thank you,
Lucy

LAFON/SARTIN
YOU ARE SO WELCOME.
SOMETIMES THERE CAN BE A MISTAKE, BUT, A VALUABLE PIECE OF HISTORY. VERY SOT AFTER.
MY FAMILY NAME OF SARTIN IS A MESS TO TRACK.
SARTIN, SARTEN, SARTAIN, CERTIN, SARTON. ITS ALL THE SAME LINES, BUT YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED HOW FOLKS GET BENT OUT OF SHAPE. I HAVE IT BACK TO 1799 AS SARTIN. IT ALL GOES BACK TO PHONICS AND FOLKS BARELY BEING ABLE TO READ & WRITE.
NOW I JUST HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ARE HER PARENTS AND HIS. LOTS OF JOHN LAFONS WITH ELIZA'S, ETC.
I'M SURE SHES MINE.
SO GLAD TO HAVE HELPED FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR FAMILIES.
KEEP IN TOUCH.
