Bio and Links
Bio Photo WOW!! Its great to be a part of this group! I've always loved cemeteries. Not so much as excitement, but seeing the love put into makers, stones, each family could afford. I've felt heartbreak in my wanderings, for the loss of children, mothers in birth, soldiers in war, from cities to ghost towns...I have a tendency to want to visit the cemetery.

I've taken a lot of photos of my own family; spent time weeping at others..I've been known to drive 200 miles to find a grave of a family member. I have a sister and her sons who go with me. If I can help you, I would love to. I live a half mile from the Provo City Cemetery. I am willing to travel for you between mid November through mid April, then again from mid June through August. Those are the times I am home, as I travel with my work. If I can get away with it, I will be posting as I move with my work also..

My name is Brenda. I am Jan's younger sister. I have enjoyed the numerous trips that Jan and I and my boys have gone on to find our ancestors burial spots. I feel like it's an adventure every time we start looking. We began with looking for our ancestors buried here in Provo, Utah and progressed from there looking for more that were within traveling distance. My boys love it when Aunt Jan calls us to tell us it's time for another road trip to find a cemetery. I am looking forward to helping other people located and photograph their acenters burial spots and headstones. I am usually available to search for a grave during the times that Jan is not available. My email address is

Karen Brooks
Billie Geraldine Keys Sonafrank
My name is Karen Brooks and I live in Council Grove Kansas. I am working on the Riley family genealogy and Billie is an 11th generation family member. She was the dau of Stuart and Ruby Keys.Stuart was the son of John and Minnie Roach Keys. John was the son of Charles and Martha Keys. Charles was the son of Richard and Mary Hayes Keys. Richard is the son of Mary Riley and Samuel Keys Jr. Mary Riley is the dau of Samuel Riley Sr. and one of Chief Doublehead's daughters (He was married to 2 and had at least 18 kids and I can determine later if necessary which of these two wives was Mary's mother) Samuel Riley was the son of Eliphaz and Mary Burkett Riley. Elipaz was the son of Aodh "Hugh" and Margaret Plummer Riley. Aodh or Hugh, was the son of Maolmordha "Miles" and Nancy Hull Riley. Maolmordha, or Miles, was born 1614, County Cavan, Ireland Died: 1669 (55y) Maryland. Anyways, I hope I got all that right, but I can assure you that your Billie Geraldine is a descendant of this very fabulous family! Find me on Facebook if you like! Karen Zimmer Sutton Brooks

83553299 Clarence E. Erickson
I found some bio info that I believe is for 'your' Clarence E Erickson.

He was once an associate of Douglas Fairbanks, St., and later partnered with Douglas Jr. Erickson helped organize the United Artists movie studio in 1919 and served for years as an executive with the company. He also co-found the Fairbanks Company at Universal-International. Clarence died of a heart attack in Hollywood, CA.

RE: Matilda Oliver
I'm glad I was able to help. So many cemeteries stones are partially obstructed over time, removing some grass around them is often necessary to read dates, names and epitaphs, yet so many people are wary to do it.

Best Regards,
Jim Moore

Bacons @ North Canton Cemetery

You had requests for Hiram & Harlow Bacon at North Canton Cemetery - I had found Hiram a few weeks back and finally found Harlow today. I also found Anna Bacon - listed as wife of Hiram. I'm creating a memorial for her, happy to transfer to you if you'd like!

RE: Hanna-
Hi Jan,
Hanna isn't my family, I fell in love with her full name when I found her memorial. I just think that her memorial is a bit naked without a photo of her marker.

I'll try to stop the request. There have been times I've stopped the request but it still went on for some reason and that was without a claim. Thank you letting me know.

I'm so sorry about your nephew.

RE: Hiram Head
Yes, I was taking advantage of our unseasonably warm weather to fulfill a couple of requests! I think you also had a request for Hiram's wife. If I recall correctly there may have been a spot next to Hiram with no stone, perhaps it is missing? I'm sure I'll be back there at some point and can have another look. I was with my wandering 3 year old and it was beginning to get cold so we packed it in early!
