|Jean ||RE: G. W. Ward|
Thanks Paul! I will add your notation to my notations on the main page for G. W. Ward so others may also see that this is most probably not our G. W. Ward family member after all.

Paul, I'm sorry, I don't have any info on her. I looked in both my Emanuel County cemetery books, and on Ancestry, but didn't find anything. I only listed James F. McBride because he was a Confederate soldier buried in Emanuel County. I wish I could help. Take care.

Hi Paul, James Lott Copeland is buried beside his second wife Lucretia. His first wife (my relative) was the daughter of Aaron Rice and is buried in South Carolina. There is a stone for Lucretia in the cemetery. Records indicate that he is buried beside her. I have not been to the cemetery and have requested a photo of his grave if there is one. There are many stories and documents concerning him on ancestry.com. We also have some family information on him based on his first wife (my relative) My line follows his daughter Jane Copeland. Who married a Sellers. Very very intresting story because several families marry cousins. I have double checked all info on that site and it seems reliable. Many of his first wife's relatives moved to Dupont Ga near Valdosta. That is the line I know very well. If you would like to see my family tree on ancestry I will be glad to send you a free invite. Julie
