My name is Charles and I'm not sure how I became enchanted with graves and family genealogy. My guess is because I've lost so many important people and genealogy and graves are a way for me to deal with it?? Maybe. Maybe not. Bottom line is the family unit is more valuable than anything this world can offer. Don't ever take it for granted.

My lines are many: Adams line, Gillespie line, Mangum line, Clark line, the famed "Blakeney line" from Ireland....too many to name.

Love you all :)

RE: Grave
I'll be happy to photograph this for you. Evergreen is a huge pkace. Do you have any idea where the family plot is located? If not, I can try asking the office.

RE: James H. Adams
Hello Charles,
I looked last night. I didn't find your James listed in any of the cemeteries surveys "I" have here at my home.

The place to look for more info is Darlington Historical Commission
I will be going there tomorrow if you'd like me to look further for James I will, just let me know. If not please contact the Wonderful Ladies at the Historic Commission, they are as helpful as they can be.

John Jibb Thorntons father
Hi Charles, I'm glad to hear you have made some progress in your family research. I'm sorry I did not respond to your first message. I have been covered up with work so I haven't had time to sit down and research it. I went ahead and transferred John's memorial to you so you will be able to add whatever information you like in his bio and make the parental links if you find their burial location. If you have any question about how to edit the memorials Ill be glad to help. I hope you have a blessed day, Brad

Charles, When I researched Mr. Thornton I could not establish who his parents were either. Let me know if you figure it out, Brad

Henry "Harry" Thornton
Actually, Harry would have been a brother-in-law to my gr-uncle, Bob Crews. Harry's wife, and my gr-uncle's first wife Annie Coffin Crews had been sisters.

Of course, I didn't know either of the ladies, because my uncles wife had died in 1945 when I was just a little kid, and we didn't live in the area at the time.

But I could never be anyone's brother-in-law, though I have been a sister-in-law.

It's OK. I always wished I had been born a boy.

RE: Samuel and Caroline Adams
Hello Charles,
I am in the process of adding all the family members that are buried with Samuel & Caroline. It takes me a little while because I research everyone before I add them to get as much info as I can.
So with that said if you can wait a day or two I will be glad to go get the photos for you.
