Hi, am also the History Seeker and I took the photo. I am so sorry but she doesn't have a Headstone, I took the pictures the way I did to show no headstone. I would love to be able to put more info on her site though. Thanks Kathie

Esther Farr
The only thing I have on her is that her parents were John Farr and Eliza Thompson. Eliza is also buried in Oakwood but I can't find her father.

RE: re:James Rowntree Burying Grounds
interesting, clearly this harriet gray had to marry into john's family somewhere. i am going to ask Etobicoke Historical Society this week if they have any info on the john rowntree burial ground, like if any pics exist of the cemetery or not.

RE: re:James Rowntree Burying Grounds
three years ago the government here passed a law saying the cemeteries can not be moved or altered in any way. 3 decades too late. When it comes to anything Farr family related i can have you talk to one of their family, hopefully he can help you. here is his findagrave member number. #46987614

take care.

RE: re:James Rowntree Burying Grounds
There were two rowntree burial grounds, one David Rowntree Burial Ground located on Weston road was moved to prospect - roughly 8 headstones. But the second - John Rowntree burial ground was not moved. It is located on Albion Ave. between islington and Kipling. It is on the North side of albion under the hydro wire, the headstone were destroyed but the bodies were not moved.

they do sell transcripts for the john rowntree burial ground.
