I got interested in family history as a teenager and hand copied my grandmother's family group sheets so I could have a copy. Technology has changed greatly since then, but I am still just as interested in learning new things.|

Thanks so much for the Beeson photo at the Orem Cemetery. Looks great! (:

Not a problem! (: Also, thanks for taking interest! Yeah, as long as a camera can take a decent photo, any camera can be used. I think that an iPhone should be fine, I have used mine before in the past. (: If you plan on going (which would be wonderful!), there is an option button on the request to "claim" it. This gives you 14 days or so to go to the cemetery and get the photo before it's "unclaimed" and opened to other volunteers again.
I would try and get the photo myself, but it's about a half hour drive for me, and I don't have the gas money quite yet. Plus, school is starting on Tuesday, and I'll be harder pressed finding the time. So thank you, if you do get the chance to get the headstone photo. (:

I'm so glad you've gotten the chance to meet all these wonderful people. I would have loved to have the opportunity myself. (: My dad, Gil, was able to meet his great-grandma Ethal a few times when he was young. He says what he remembers most about her was how kind she was, her long red hair that was always up in a bun, and how short she was! It's nice to have someone else recount stories about her as well. (:
I'll transfer over the Bocker memorials to you. When a person manages/maintains a memorial, little linked options appear through out the memorial, and one of them is "Transfer Management." You'll see them once I transfer the memorials to you. All I have to do is click that and enter in your member number from your contributor page, and the memorial will be transferred to your care for you to edit! (: You'll be able to add that biography from Clara onto May's memorial, if you'd like, and add on to it as you learn more.
There are five Bocker memorials that I maintain for this family. May, her husband Oscar, Oscar's second wife Ada, Oscar's half-brother (also named Oscar), and Oscar's younger brother Joseph. I'll transfer those over to your care. (: Any other Bockers in your family will be managed by somebody else. If you have information to add to those memorials, you can contact those people and either ask for a transfer or give them the information and have them add it themselves. It depends on the person, which way they like to do it. I'm one to usually just transfer to someone more closely related, while others prefer to add the information themselves. (:
Also, good luck moving into your house. I'd be happy to see anything you're able to post once you finally get the chance. (:

Hi Katie, thank you so much! It's always nice to find cousins. (: Yes, our lines do meet up at Frederick and Charlotte Haynes Brown. My great-great-grandmother is actually Ethal Ottley, with her daughter Florence being my great-grandmother. Though I was never able to meet Ethal, this remarkable woman has held a special place in my heart for a long time, and I'm glad to hear that others still think of her fondly as well. (:
It's nice to know that you started young as well; I'm currently seventeen (eighteen in November!) and have been doing family history since I was fifteen. It's something that I really enjoy and hope to do for as long as possible.
By the way, if you'd like the management of any of the Bocker memorials transferred to you so you can add any bios, I'd happily do so. (: My knowledge of my Ottley side has been pretty scarce until recently, when I found an old booklet profiling the lives of Ethal and Fred and their respective parents. It was a really exciting find. (:
Speaking of which, your message prompted me to go back and take a look at that booklet. I found a family photo that May is in... you may or may not have already seen it, but I've added it to her memorial anyway. It's not the best of photos, but the caption did make a point to mention her. (:
