Hi Vicki - I had contacted the person with your great aunt's memorial and gave her correct death date info from the obituary and the change has been made to the memorial. Did you get a chance to contact the cemetery about replacing the date plaque on her headstone? Were they able to help you?

Hi Vicki, I attempted to send you an email, but it seems your email address is not valid, or I typed it in wrong. Anyway, I am your 3rd cousin because our Great Grandfathers are brothers, they being Henry Clay Shoemaker and William Simpson Shoemaker. Please email me at email@example.com. Thanks much. Donald.

it's very small print I had a hard time figuring out that it was even a marker and I took several pictures, that one is the best.

Hi Vicki - I have a relative buried at Grandview Memorial Park at Ravenna, Ohio and have him on the photo request list(Hugill). I was looking at the names and noticed your post and note for your great aunt, Edith Merle Villers, regarding her death yar. I located obituary of E. Merle Villers on Ancestry [same birthdate, etc.] and saw where her death year is indeed 2002, instead of 2004. My great aunts were important to me as well, so I hope you don't mind, but I sent a correction for her memorial, so hopefully it will get changed for you. As far as the date on her headstone being missing, the phone number for the cemetery appears to be 330-297-1332. If you call them, they will probably be able to tell you how to go about getting a date put on. I'm not positive, but that style appears to be one where the date is put on a small piece of metal, which is then attached to the headstone. I hope this helps get things resolved for you and feel free to let me know if I can help you in any way. Take care.

In regards to the photo of your aunt's marker, maybe if you report it to the cemetery...or if she has any next of kin in the area that could take care of it. I would be more than happy to get another picture once they fix it. Just let me know if I can help!!

I just to let you know the Anglin Cemetery where Lucinda Hannah is buried is very very overgrown. If you will remind me later this fall after the undergrowth dies back, I will attempt to locate the grave. I have taken photos of graves at this location before and graves are difficult to locate and many stones have been upturned or buried because it has not been maintained in many years.
