Bio and Links
Bio Photo Really getting into genealogy for my paternal bloodline the Howards of Bridgewater, Mass and points north (Maine and NH). This includes the families of the women who married into the Howards: Keith, Packard, Latham, Perkins, Reynolds, Maxim, Richardson and Ham. Looking into the Overends and Newtons of Worcester, Mass.
For my husband and kids I have gotten into the Bloods, McMahons, Hacketts of Pepperell, Mass. Also the families of the women who married into the Bloods- Ball, Bancroft, Jewett and Shattuck...

I am willing to take pics in Amherst, Nashua, Hollis, Brookline and Bedford, NH area as well as Haverhill, Pepperell, Princeton, Rutland, Paxton and Worcester, Ma.

I started taking pictures as a volunteer and frequently take additional pictures that may be connected to the request. (wives, children, parents and siblings)

I am Ok with the pictures being reposted or used again. If you do take a copy of any of my photographs, please credit me as the source - Karen (Howard) Blood (#47655181)and list FindAGrave as the location in which you found the photograph before posting to another website or family file. It is not only polite, but good genealogical practice. Thank you.

(and thanks to genealogylady...from whom I found this nice way of putting it!)

The name Blood shows up on my family tree, and my maiden name is Perkins. Wondering if we are related?! I believe her name was Kate or Katherine Blood. I will have to double check.
Other names in my family on my father's side: Hallowell, Fowles, Bowman, Manchester ect. Please feel free to drop me a message of you would like.

RE: Ruth Colburn, Pepperell
Karen - My apologies. The new, 2nd photo appears to have taken care of my request. I see no need for another trip. Thanks, again!

Thanks, Karen!

Captions are very helpful. What would also help if you visit the cemetery again would be to see if there is an unmarked grave next to her husband's that could be hers. A photo of both sites would be great. But, wouldn't you have to wait until the Spring thaw to do that? :-)

PS: We live in California and feel lucky if we just get a little rain.

RE: Overends
I was recently contacted by a descendant of Thomas's brother John. I was searching for records and found one d/c that mentioned Hope Cemetery, so I contacted the staff there. They provided scans of the plot cards for four Overend family lots. I used familysearch and ancestry to sort out who was connected to whom. I'm not related, but I do a lot of cemetery research. If you are interested I can email you the pdf they sent me. Would you want to manage Thomas and Maggie's memorials?

Pepperell Cemeteries

I see you have posted photos from several cemeteries in the Pepperell area so I am hoping you can provide some information about some things that are confusing to me.

I have also been working on the family name of Blood and I have found records in the following 3 cemeteries:

Pepperell Cemetery, also known as: Association Cemetery, Park Street Cemetery
8 Park Street, Pepperell

Walton Cemetery
8 Park Street, Pepperell

Woodlawn Cemetery
40 Heald Street, Pepperell

I am confused about the fact that Pepperell Cemetery and Walton Cemetery have the same address! Can you tell me why that would be?

Another problem I have is that years ago someone had created records in FindAGrave for Capt. Edmond Blood and Edmond T. Blood and others for Walton Cemetery but today these records appear to be gone and other records now exist for them in Woodlawn Cemetery! Any idea why these would be listed in one cemetery and then listed in the other? Have they been moving remains for example?

Thanks for any details that you can share about these cemeteries.
