|Obsessed Genealogist||Jane Lamb|
I have looked under all the names listed on your page for Jane - and no luck at all. Would enjoy more details from you to see if we can connect the dots on this family.
|Obsessed Genealogist||Greg and Mandy|
The Lambs are married into the Staffords and Perrys of Knox and Pike county, Indiana.
|Obsessed Genealogist||Zemeriah Lamb|
Great to hear from you! Jane Lamb from Zemeriah Lamb is a mystery to me - with many people telling me she didn't exist. This family is a mess to research. Okay, I was told that Walnut Grove was where Zemeriah was buried - but no one has found him or his obit anywhere. Someone in the far past told me his name was Simon - so was he buried under the wrong name? Was he mixed up with another Zimri in Parke or Knox County, Indiana? The guy was married multiple times - so many kids! I have not found the divorce record - that would hopefully answer some questions. I can barely wait to hear more about Jane Lamb!
|David R. Cheesman, Sen.||Samuel Naylor Wilson, Pvt, War of 1812|
Hi Mandy: Apparently we are related. Samuel Naylor Wilson is my 3 times great grandfather on my mother's side, his father Alexander Willson (my 4 times great great grandfather) was killed by Indians odefending Fort Vincennes at the Battle of Embarass River. A lot of my ancestors are buried at cemeteries whose name I do not know. I had been told by various Willson / Wilson and Thornburg relatives over the years that the name of the cemetery where Samuel is buried is / or was called Vincesses... because it's said located near Vincennes. I could not locate a cemetery called Iona Cemetery among the list of Knox county, cemeteries listed in Find-a-grave's listings to where I may add him. At this particular time, my vision is very bad. I am scheduled for eye surgery next month and I'll check my CHEESMAN DOSSIER RELATED FAMILIES manuscripts for David Wilson / Willson as soon as my eyes are healed and I can see clearly again. David Wilson / Willson of early Knox county, Indiana is probably related to my Willson Wilson, Plough and Baker lines. If you do not hear from me after a month and a half, please remind me. All kindest wishes, Dave Cheesman
|Greg Bolt||RE: James and Sarah Perry|
Glad to hear from you. William Perry is 3d g-grandfather of my wife. I probably have little to add for you.
Info I believe provided by her grandmother, Eunice Cooper Stafford over 25 yrs ago:
I have William b. 22 Nov 1798
His father, James d. abt Jan 1810
William m. Elizbeth Aikman, b. 2 Jun 1804, Ireland. Her parents, Adam & Sarah Aikman.
On your 2d post on David Wilson, also a 3d g-grandfather of my wife, I also do not have his father. I have 2 marriages:
Phebe P Morrel, m. 9 Oct 1830
Mahala Caroline Thixton m. 5 Oct 1833
abt 1818 - abt 1862
It had been about 20 yrs since I looked into these lines, but recently have started researching them again. I will check my old data and get back to you.
