The history of Madison, (Morgan Co.,) GA is my focus.

I'm writing a book right now about the four Confederate Hospitals that were stationed in Madison during the War Between the States.

There will be thousands of names in the index from the hundreds of pages of primary documents. FindAGrave has been a HUGE help, especially with the bios of the surgeons there.

Re: Harry W Brown
Patsy,

TBWillis contacted me about Dr Browns wife's memorial I have and so I just did the research for that reason and found all the census records that allowed me to ID the other two kids here in Oakwood. Just a couple of hours to spend on some one else's tree for fun!

Thanks,
Mark

Harry W Brown
I posted his daughter, Mignonnette Brown, at First Street Cemetery of Waco.
A friend owns a rare copy of the history of the Waco Medical Assoc. I believe there is a memorial in it for Dr. Brown. I hope she will send it to you.
Sincerely,
TB Willis

RE: Peter and Nancy Plymale
I really don't know where Peter & Nancy or Michael are buried. I suspect Peter & Nancy are buried somewhere in Colquitt Co.,GA, probably on private property in graves no longer marked. At least two of their sons are buried at Hopewell Baptist Church in Moultrie,GA but I don't believe that cemetery is older than the 1890's.

Thank you.

I do have a question:
Are the Old Madison and the Madison Historic cemetery the same? at Find A Grave there are memorials in both cemeteries.

This is the same person. The birth on the stone is incorrect, should be 24 Oct 1843

RE: Frances Martin photo request
Someone (Not Me) has made a memorial in Find A Grave for Francis Cornelia Martin in both the Old Madison Cemetery and Madison Historic Cemetery. Are these two different cemeteries or the same? My records show her as Francis Cornelia Bryan Martin (1825-1855). I don't know for a fact that she has a gravestone.

Her husband is Felix Bryan Martin (1821-1879) and I have a photo of his gravestone identified as in Old Madison Cemetery.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Samuel Meredith headstone photo
Hi Patsy!

You know I don't remember of I saw a stone for his wife or not... I will check the next time I out at Hollywood- which is often!

If you haven't already- put a memorial up for his wife and as soon as I can I will get a picture, if there is a headstone for her and post it.

It will be after Christmas- but email me if I don't get back with you soon!

Take care, and Happy Holidays!
