|I have only recently discovered Find A Grave, even though I have been researching my family for many years. I am documenting our family grave sites and other graves as well. If you find I have entered some one from your family, PLEASE let me know. I am grateful to be able to transfer memorials to their families. |

I also put this on the caption of the photo...
Section 10 is what the Cemetery calls their Cholera section.... This does not mean that everyone died of Cholera, but many Cholera victims are buried here. They are still not 'allowed' to disturb the ground. A tree died, it was cut off and the stump just sits there. They can not cut it out. All the graves with headstones have been added to Find a grave.

|Duane Regehr||RE: Callie Fleming Grein Newport Clark|
I just searched ancestry.com and found it. Callie married Henry D Clarke on 20 Jan 1962 in Orange, California. He was 72 yrs and she was 65. I cleaned off Callie's headstone last fall. We were there while they installed a new headstone for my little brother Timothy Joel Fine. He died only days after he was born. At his death, Callie offered her grave site next to Roy Newport for my baby brother. She is buried with her family about 25 yards away from Roy Newport and Timmie. I hope this helps. |Stu (Koblentz) Haley||An error with Nathan Foos Wife|
Hi, I believe there is an error on the listing for Nathan Foos' wife.
Nathan Foos was married twice.
Nathan was married to 1) Mary Ann Sickle. Mary Ann was the mother of his children, including George W. Foos, who is my great great Grandfather.
Nathan was married 2)Salinda Hipsher, following the death of Mary Ann.
In verifying this in John and Barbra Midlam's Tombstones of Marion County, for this cemetery, there is no "Sophia Cooper Seckel Foos" listed, and this book is regarded as the definitive resource for Marion Graves. However Mary Ann Sickle is listed as next to Nathan. As such, I have added her.
I double checked the Marion County marriage returns for Nathan Foos and cannot see where he married a "Sophia Cooper Seckel" in Marion County Ohio. However it should be noted that the Seckles and the Foos' intermarried.
I think that it would be best if Sophie Cooper Seckle Foos be removed from this cemetery since the record is inaccurate.
|This Side of the Grave||Old Benton Cemetery and Pleasant Hill Cemetery|
Are the Old Benton Cemetery and Pleasant Hill Cemetery the same cemetery? Angeline Newton's Death Cert has place of burial as Pleasant Hill, but her Find A Grave page has the Old Benton Cemetery listed with a photo of the cemetery and her headstone.

Was Lee Roy Chapman married to Geneva? I think I have the right one but uncertain?
