RE: John Macombers
Interesting...but for us also a dead end. If you look on (real) page 13 of the genealogy, you will see Elizabeth b. 15 March 1715. That is my wife's direct ancestor and the mother of Micah Ashley, who was in the Revolutionary War and would be my wife's "claim" to the DAR. She married William Ashley in 1746 in RI. The problem is that her information ends there, unlike some of her siblings. No-one so far has been able to ID a DOB for Micah.

OOOOPS! I meant Mary Babcock (1619-1685). Sorry.

RE: John Macombers
I forgot to ask if you know anything about John 1651's parents. I have them as another John (1613-1688) and Ann Evans (1660-1725). I am again not sure where I got this info but again I probably didn't make it up!

Done! I had found a date for his death of Jan 22 1720, but I can't find where I got the date. The date is not listed in the Taunton Vitals, so it's a mystery to me where I got it. The DOB matches up closely. I don't think I just made it up! Ray

RE: John Macomber
I tried to find the right John but there are so many of them! If you give me the memorial # I will try to do the link.

RE: John Macomber
OK I'm back and trying to sort out your question.
I am confused how there can be another John between 1651 John and 1681 John since they appear to be father and son.
Also do you have a 1613 John who was supposedly buried at the "Rear Corner 1797 County Street & Bettison Court, Taunton". I think he is the father of 1651 John. This is pretty confusing!
I am hesitant, at least at this point, to transfer any of my wife's ancestors, but especially 1681 John since he is my wife's link to Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower. His wife Elizabeth Williams is Thomas Rogers' great granddaughter. But we can still talk about all this! Ray

I am out of the country until May 22nd. I will certainly look into this when I get home. Thanks for the message.
Frankly I need to look at our tree before I can understand your message completely. Macombers are in my wife's tree and I don't know it as well as mine.

RE: Minnie O. Warren
It's not a problem. I changed the order. It is an interesting article and adds to the memorial.
