I am afraid that I just haven't gotten to researching this soldier. I have many that I haven't had the time to research. I have been caregiving my parents for years and am afraid my Civil War guys have had to wait. Glad there are others are out there who are interested interested!

Thanks for adding the photo of Mr. White. He wrote a very thorough history of the 7th Infantry Regiment (sometimes down to squad level, but mostly about company level events) which he was a part of. Thanks to him many family members know a little about what their fathers, brothers, and sons did during WWII, including me. Thanks again, James

I found "Illinois, Deaths and Stillbirths Index, 1916-1947" record that shows Death Place
Aurora, Kane, Illinois with dod 5 May and burial 7 May. I am not very familiar with how Find A Grave works - I am just into the research of my family tree - right now am working on my step-mothers side of the family and they are almost totally unknown to me - after my father died I completely lost track of all the step relatives but am having fun (retired with nothing else to do) putting the pieces of the puzzle together. A couple of edits I sent in have caused the keeper to transfer the memorial to me but I never had that intent at all. However, am thinking of possibly getting into becoming a contributor but first need to get a good iPhone or something to take the pics with. Might do it and might not. Thanks for your speedy processing of edits! Nice job.
