RE: George Schmidt
OK Josiah looks like everything is OK then. And I've posted the photo of Catherine's grave as you suggested. Sorry it's a little spotty; that was because of recent rain. Glad to help out!

George Schmidt
Today I went to Glenwood and looked for the grave of George R. Schmidt 1870-1906. I found the grave of George A. Schmidt 1869-1907 in Section A, Lot 91, with several other Schmidt graves. The middle initial is different and the dates are off by one year. I've posted the photo but if you think it's not the right grave just let me know and I will remove it.

Re: your photo request for the First Ward cemetery in Syracuse NY. Unfortunately it is no longer a cemetery,it is a Park now. Its odd but the headstones have all been buried but the bodies never removed. I find this terrible personally. If you click on the Link to this cemetery it explains what happened and there is a book published about the ancestors buried here. There are several other cemeteries in Syracuse in similar situations as you will see.
Take care, D & D

Mary E Mills
I have a photo of the headstone of Mary E. Mills who is buried in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL but the DOB and DOD are not the same as your memorial. The headstone reads DOB Sept 10, 1880
DOD Sept 27, 1940

Could the headstone be incorrect or is it possible that your dates are incorrect? I would love to post this headstone but do not like to create errors.

A second attempt to photograph photo requests at Lakewood Memorial Park with complete Section and Lot information posted will be made in October. Please help your photo volunteers to help fulfill your request by obtaining the information requested below. Thank you!

A visit to Lakewood during this past weekend revealed that the care of the cemetery, other than mowing the lawn, is almost nonexistent. Approximately 3/4ths of the graves need trimming in order to read the name and/or date on the grave marker. Some graves are almost completely invisible until you walk right up to them. The only graves that looked tended to are those that were from recent burials or those that individual families were maintaining. I did not see one in-ground lot marker to help locate a cemetery lot.

If you hope that a photo volunteer will ever be able to fulfill your photo request(s) at Lakewood, please contact the cemetery to get the section and lot information for your photo request(s) and post the information to the online memorial. Walking the grounds to find someone is currently pointless with so many names covered up. Finally, in light of the current state of the cemetery, asking the office staff if there is a grave marker and asking them to e-mail you a map of where the grave is located would greatly help your photo volunteer.
