|Patti Cludray||Malbert Lincoln and Viola Jane Messamore|
Thank you for the verification I was looking for, looks like I've found my great great grandparents. I am so excited to add them to my family tree officially.
God Bless You,
|Patti Cludray||Viola Jane and Malbert Messamore|
Hi Diana: I am researching the parents of my
Great Grandmother Mary Ethel Emerson (Messamore}. My cousin told me that her mother (my Aunt) has family bible records noting that Mary Ethel's parents were Viola Parker and Malbert/Molbert Messamore (spelling was hard to see). Do you have any reference for Viola and Malbert Messamore having a daughter named Mary Ethel? The location in Kentucky is right, but Messamore seems to be a pretty popular name in that area. Thank you for any assistance you could give. Patti Cludray

Diana, Sorry, I have overlooked your message. The only document that I have found is :
Rachel's sisters obituary from 1896, stating :
Birth: 1814 Kentucky, USA Death: Jul. 1, 1896
Widow of William L Brown ( 1814-1880)
Daughter of Henry Coffman(1780-1832) and Sarah "Sallie" Leeks Coffman (1776-1854)
Sister of Rachel Ann Coffman Cates (1806-1882) of Webster County, and John Franklin Coffman ( 1805-1885) of Hopkins County.
Thanks, Jim Mounts

Diana, Alcy's parents were Henry Coffman and Sarah Neal. Alcy and William L Brown are buried in Mt Carmel Cemetery in Hopkins County. They were my Great, Great Grandparents. Thanks, Jim Mounts

I saw your addt'l info in the "flowers & notes" section. If you'd send your edits to Carl Lansden (creator of the memorial), he'd add your info in the correct places.

Hi Diana, thanks for the information you gave on the correction for Elvira Jane Crow Henry. It has been so long ago now that I don't remember where I found it but I also have her death year as 1885 rather than 1895 - what her headstone gives as her death year. I would love to see the book that you got that info. from. Is it by chance in the library in Mt. Vernon, IL?
|Alabama Poes||Solomon Jones|
Hi and thanks for the information about Solomon Jones! I actually have some of Perrin's books, but just haven't entered any information here. Most of it goes into my Ancestry family tree. It's hard to keep up with everything as I have over 2000 people in my forest! Anyway, the book is old enough that the copyright isn't an issue as long as the source is included. I posted the information in Solomon's memorial, and gave you credit at the bottom for the information. I hope it was O.K. to use your name. I look forward to seeing what other information you have for Solomon's sons! Thanks! Alabama Poes

Yes, they can. You need to go to Nancy's memorial, click on the Edit tab and send a message to the manager of her memorial. Make sure you include the names and memorial numbers of her parents and ask the manager to make the links. This site only lets you link from child to parent.

I linked Lula Mae Messamore as you requested. But Nancy Livingston is not one of my memorials so I can't fix that one for you.
