Working on ancestry is a hobby of mine, along with photography. I really appreciate everyone that has contributed to this site and hope to become a good contributor myself. I know how exciting it is to discover new information or just to see the resting place of an ancestor, so my intent is to give that back to others. I also know how it is to be stuck at a stand-still and then to discover a (free!!!) site like this that provides me with that link in the chain I needed. I truly appreciate everyone involved!|
I have photographed New Palestine and London Cemeteries in Indiana and am currently working on getting Hanover Cemetery transcribed and photographed. I have no relatives in any of these, so if anyone would like a transfer of any memorial please send a request. :)
Everyone may use my photos however you wish. I take these photos for families to enjoy and to help with ancestry research, so please do make use of them!
"You see the place where I am laid,
death is a debt that must be paid,
and as by me you find tis true,
and time will prove it so with you.
Let not your time be run to waste,
in vain delight to please the taste,
but for another world prepare,
for time is short. You must be there!"

I do remember Pam, Marlin and Debbie. Not as well as my sisters though. I am the youngest of 5 girls. My mom had 3 little girls and widowed when she met my daddy. He was a dad to all of us and nevery made a difference. I remember aunt Kate playing cards at our kitchen table and me sneaking sips of her beer! My parents adored that family. My sisters are Darlene, Debra, Monica and Cindy. I will get more info on the Ritchie family soon hopefully. I will also send you all the pictures I run across from the Harris side.

That makes us cousins right! This is so exciting to me. My sister has done all the work in our genealogy but will ask her to share what she has. My parents are Ernest Raymond Harris and Mary Frances Breeden Harris.I was born in IN but raised in Tucson Arizona. I live in Chandler AZ now. I have 3 children and my son Ryan Joseph Harris is the only boy from my father to carry on the name Harris. Now he has three boys that will. Keep in touch.

Julie, thank you for creating a memorial for Jeheil Buffington,
Birth:Feb. 12, 1822, Indiana, USA,
Death:Sep. 25, 1904, Indiana, USA
I was wondering where his death date came from.
I just found a newspaper article from the Lima Democrat dated 8 Dec 1904 stating that Mrs. Mint Walter would be going to her father's (Jehiel Buffington) funeral in Butler County, Ohio.
Do you think that the funeral would have been held so long after his death if he had died in September and funeral was in December? Family history mysteries are the best!
thanks again for making the memorial.
