After working on our family tree for several years, we have turned on our attention to FindaGrave, which has been a great help for us during those years of working on our tree.

On our New York memorials, we have obituaries for most of them. If anyone wants a copy of one, we will be glad to send it to you. Also, feel free to visit our family tree, DouglasCronkFamily, on

You can use any of the pictures posted.

Mary Tomes
I found a Tomes family marker but no Mary died 1877.
I can take a picture of the 4 sides of the family marker and the two small stones adjacent to it. One of these is marked "Jane" and the other "Mother"
Could Mother be Mary?

Hi Doug,
The picture you requested for Beatrice can be found at the memorial for Ralph Jones... both names are on one stone.

Bella Bedell
Thank you for the information about Orville Bedell 116315902. In the future it would be helpful if you give the memorial number that corresponds to the person.
Thanks again,

Jemima Davenport
You've requested a photo of the grave stone; it is under Blackwood Cemetery, Hadley, Saratoga County, New York and listed under her married name: Jemima Davenport Blackwood.

Child Sherman

I have photographed all of the monuments, standing, turned over, and even in some cases buried, in the Old Marcellus cemetery. Unfortunately there is not one for this child.
The cemetery is old and is in the village. For some yeas the stones were taken away for inclusion in basements and steps.

Also, some burials were not marked. Find A Grave doesn't have a standardized way of alerting people that there isn't a monument.

Shield/Madison Historic Cemetery
I've fielded requests numerous times from people wanting photos of William Shields marker. I've never found one. If you do, I'd be interested to know where it is located.

Youngs at Maple Grove, Jordan
Hi I took some pics today of Willard Youngs,(1877-1945) and Chauncy J Youngs,(1845-1926)at Maple Grove Cemetery in Jordan. They were side by side and both had a fire fighter's bronze marker. Are you interested in these - are they your kin?
