I'm holding a picture of my father, Walter H Austin, painted by our cousin Helen Leidy Lennon.|
I find 'Find A Grave' a great research tool. I'm retired, living in Traverse City, Michigan and using genealogy as a way of keeping my mind active. I have been president of Grand Traverse Area Genealogical Society and am a member of Austin Family Association of America.
I do transfers, links, change information and anything else I can to make FAG a place that is user friendly. It is the members of Find A Grave who make it great place to spend your research time.
If you are related to any person on my memorial list, send me and e-mail or a public message about your family.
My family lines are Austin, Penix/Penick, Paradis, King, Bowman, Joseph, Taft, Seelye, Todd, Pinette, Nadeau, Rose, Reed, Barker, Lovejoy, and Foster.

When you attached the photo you wrote
I was in Lakeview Cemetery looking for Swift family graves and took a picture of this monument. I hope it is a picture you will want on this memorial.
It is SWIFT and underneath says John and Jennie.
That is Emma Jane Birge Swift whose nickname is Jennie, his wife.
I added it to hers also, with a note that you took it.
I was so happy to find a headstone for her, she is the relative of my husband.
Thanks so much , it was such a pleasant surprise.

wow what a surprise! Yes I am very happy for this photo and want to add it to Emma's also with credit to you, and to my family tree. Thankyou so much.

Hi Mary, I added a memorial to Barbara's page, as in the note with your flowers, you asked anyone with additional info about the family to contact you, so I am. I also created a memorial for Barbara's husband Elmer Elder and linked them, though I'm not positive where Elmer ended up.

Thanks for the notice. It helps when you put NO MARKER in the headstone transcription to let people know not to ask for a photo. I sent an edit to the memorial with that change.

Hi Mary, I posted the photo of the Smith Family. I am going to send you a copy of Philemon death record as soon as i can. I have a new computer, still figuring it out. Susie

Mary, Thank You for showing me how to link my Family. Everyone has the wrong burial for Phileomon Smith,i found his death record. He was born in 1808 Lansing Tompkins County N.Y. to Lockwood & Fanny Smith. He died of typhoid fever 4 Sept., 1852 buried on his Farm.I suspect his wife Mahala Beach Smith is buried there as well. No documentation for his wife.

That is extremely kind of you to offer the transfer of Daniel Skiera. Yes, I would be happy to maintain his memorial page and make further updates.
Again, thank you so much. I wish there were more people like you on this website! Sherri
