Bio and Links
Bio Photo I find 'Find A Grave' a great research tool. I'm retired, living in Traverse City, Michigan and using genealogy as a way of keeping my mind active. I have been president of Grand Traverse Area Genealogical Society and am a member of Austin Family Association of America.

I do transfers, links, change information and anything else I can to make FAG a place that is user friendly. It is the members of Find A Grave who make it great place to spend your research time.

If you are related to any person on my memorial list, send me and e-mail or a public message about your family.

My family lines are Austin, Penix/Penick, Paradis, King, Bowman, Joseph, Taft, Seelye, Todd, Pinette, Nadeau, Rose, Reed, Barker, Lovejoy, and Foster.

You are quite welcome. We have a "camp" on a lake up there and this year I decided to explore and photograph the local cemeteries. Just like I do at home. My GGGfather was in the PA Cav and died at Andersonville. In his honor, I like to find and decipher and/or photograph other Civil War veteran's final resting places so that their family might have a record before the stones are impossible to read. If I photographed any other memorials you created, I'll send a message when I upload the photo.

Hey, family should ALWAYS come first! I'd have done the same thing. No need to apologize!

You're doing well. Your photos are very good. Keep up the work, Sweetie.

By the way, your bio pic kind of shows your are almost of my vintage! LOL

Did I forget to ask for my normal request? I usually ask this way..."please take 2 photos & post both...one up close to read and the other of the full stone + a little bit for beauty" And if the family is close enough...that usually means to include a shot of them together.

I must have forgotten to do that on Mildred Louise Bedell & her husband Louise Merlin Kube.

Perhaps, you didn't know to run the cursor over the little white "cloud" with the blue i in it - for more information. It can be found behind the name of the deceased on the request. I recently informed someone who's been with F.A.G. over 7 years. I'm not smart...just always willing to discover more ways that F.A.G. has made it quicker & easier for us all.

RE: Edwin Gibbons
Thank you for the pictures. It makes the memorials so much nicer. I don't remember how I came to add these people to the site. There is a Gibbons somewhere in the family tree, but it isn't either Edwin or Clara.

I see you live in Traverse City. My sister and her husband live there. The only Briggs I know of is the daughter of one of my best friends who is married to Gary Briggs.

Thanks so much.
