Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have only recently been bit by the genealogy bug. Now that I have it, I am an addict.

If I have a site for one of your relatives, there's a strong possibility that we are related and I would love to share notes whit you.

I am very interested in getting sites to relatives they belong with and will manage them well. If I have a site and you'd like it, please don't hesitate to let me know!

I am visually impaired which limits me on what I can do, but it doesn't prevent me from enjoying it!

I have been very fortunate to have run across some very, very nice people on Find A Grave and value their contributions highly!

If I can help, please don't hesitate to let me know!

re: William Stelmachuk
# 87491404 - Just thought that you'd want to know that a real grave stone has been put on the grave of William Stelmachuk in Riverside Cemetery in Billings, MT. I took a picture of the stone and posted it on his memorial. You have a picture on there of a temporary funeral home marker, and I thought that you might be related and wanted you to know that an actual stone marker is now on his grave. Perhaps you want to remove the picture of the temporary marker or perhaps you want both of the pictures on there. Just thought I would let you know. I am not a relative ... just someone who enjoys hanging out in cemeteries and taking pictures of graves to honor our departed ones. God bless ... and take care. Kathryn

Mina is in Find-A-Grave twice, in 2009 she was put in, then you added her in 2011, under number 79608365. Just thought you would want to know.

Correction! Sven Spjut and Elna Johnsdotter were buried in Glimåkra Cemetery. Nils Nilsson and Bengta Svensdotter were buried in Hästveda Cemetery.

According to the death records Sven Spjut was buried June 3, 1868 and his wife Elna Johnsdotter November 30, 1832, both in Hästveda Cemetery. Nils Nilsson was buried June 28, 1914 and his wife Bengta Svensdotter July 21, 1893, both in Glimåkra Cemetery. The cemeteries are in Find A Grave.
These people are not in any current burial register, which means that the burial sites probably are reclaimed and perhaps reused. In any case it is possible that the gravestones are still there, on the burial sites or in a separate part of the cemeteries.
Sven Spjut’s original last name was Svensson. Spjut is a soldier’s name and he was a soldier between 1812 and 1831. He attended in the Napoleonic Wars 1813-1814 and was awarded a medal for bravery in the field. After that he was promoted to Corporal.
The listings in the memorials that Sven Spjut died in Bösarp and that Elna Johnsdotter was born in Höja are wrong.
I am not related to the Spjut family in any way. When I happen to see incomplete memorials I try to complete them as far as I can. If you have questions about the family I can see what I can do.

My edits for the Spjut family have not been actively approved. They seem to be unnecessary. Therefore the burial information will remain with me.

Hello, i am a relative of yours. My grandma is the only daughter of Orin Johnson. That would make me his great great grandson. I was wondering if you.could point me to more family info, as grandma is in failing health at age 77. She has told me stories since my childhood about him and wants to know more before she passes on. Thank you for any help you could give us.
Sincerely- Jesse Dave Martin III age 37
