Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started looking for identity of these strangers in a box....a box of photos belonging to my father who passed when I was a litle girl...(Reynolds, Lee, Baker, Bate, Carrithers, Strickland, Rogers, Potter, Stone)He was a wonderful man adventurous and loved the out doors and he would have loved this technology and I so wish he was here to tell me the family stories again now that I am old enough to pay attention to the details. I am grateful to learn anything I can about our family history of those now gone and to find and chat with a distant cousin is such a blessing. So I have worked on our entire family tree for almost two decades now.

My mother-in-law who has now passed also entrusted me with her family information (Frantz, Davis) and photos which I think should be available to all.

My Aunts and Uncles have also given me old photos of my mother's family (Gerling, Huot, Barrett, Ferguson, Hoffman) and so want to share them. I love my family and hope to help preserve the memories of those gone. I am thrilled to learn stories about them and sometimes even get a glimpse of a photo or drawing or painting of them.

I know I am not the only one curious about their heritage and am willing to photograph any headstones in my area. I do work full time as a nurse, so give me plenty of time for your requests. Please feel free to use my photos for your family records. I am not a glutton for needing my hard work recognized but if you copy them it is nice to post where you copied the photos for a reference to others... I only post a few on here and I might have more for you... so cousins, please contact me I would love to swap info. If I have your family member on here please write me as I would love to transfer them to you or if you prefer for me to watch over them please give me advice as to what you might like written on their biography page or send me an obituary for them. I truly want their memorials to be available to those interested. God Bless.

Jim Turner
I am related to Jim Turner. I have possible names for his siblings, but not his parents & have other info as well. I would also like to find out who is parents are. It's his mother that is said to be Cherokee Indian. Maybe the two of us can figure this out. Message me some time, joshandmalstanley@yahoo.com

RE: Hello Brian
Kristie,
I'm glad that I've been helpful to you in finding family. That's what it's really all about - helping each other find our family heritage. I joined Find A Grave nine months ago with plans to make Letcher County Cemeteries more complete. There are so many Letcher County cemeteries on Find A Grave (>500), but so many of them are incomplete and many of the existing memorials are missing information. I am planning a trip to Letcher County at the end of next month and I hope to be able to visit the Reynolds Family Cemetery in Seco while I'm there. My wife has relatives who live in Seco. I'm hoping that I will be able to take headstone photos while I'm there. Who knows, maybe I can make the Reynolds Family Cemetery 100% photographed.

RE: Private Joe Ryan
I am more than happy to assist. It appears we share the Reynolds family name, mine from my grandmother. Good luck with the research. Have you checked on military records? Most off WWII was lost in the great fire of 1973 but if you ask they sometimes have reconstructed records which might have situation information concerning his awards and death.

RE: barbers in Chehalis, Jim Clampitt and Joe Reynolds
Hi Kristie:

Yes, I have several photos if Jim Clampitt, he is my Great Grandfather, (my Dad's maternal grandfather).

Wow, your dad must have been almost in his 70's when you were born, how interesting.

If you send me your email address, I can forward you some Jim Clampitt barber photos. I am at cmsteepy@comcast.net

Looking for info on Lola Davis
I am looking for information and photos of the John Morgan Davis family from Gordon, Neb. My grandmother's mother was Lola (Loie) Davis, daughter of John Morgan. She died when my grandmother was about 3 years old, and I haven't been able to learn much about her.
