John & Caroline Hogan
There seems to be a lot of confusion as to burial places of the Hogans. I do not know where Caroline is buried, but I know that she is not buried in Miner Co, SD. ... As far as John, he IS buried in Miner Co, but in Graceland Cem, not St Joseph. There are other Hogan buried there too.

A Gorman Decendent
Bill,

My name is Tony Kubalak and I just started researching my family tree. I came on John Gorman's grave info. I think that he was my great-great-grandfather. His son Levi Gorman was my great-grandfather and his son, Henry was my grandfather. Henry's daughter, Joan Gorman was my mother.

If you are interested I would like to compare notes on how the
family tree fits together and share any other info. I have a few
pictures of Henry, but nothing before that.

Please send me an email at apk@uwalumni.com to discuss this.

I live in Eagan, MN which is a southern suburb of Minneapolis.

Tony

John Hogan
I am going to join Nora in declaring that Caroline Amanda Curtis Hogan is buried in Willoughby Cemetery in NY. There is already a findagrave memorial for her in that location. In 1880, John was married to Milantha or Minerva.
Your memorial of John helped me find out a bit more about my gg grandfather.
So thank you. More than I can express.

John Hogan- Caroline A Curtis Hogan
According to the 1880 Federal Census, John Hogan still lived in Great Valley, NY which is after Caroline Amanda Curtis Hogan died in 1876 and was buried in Willoughby Cemetery. It also indicates that he was remarried to a woman named Milantha. Maybe it is her that is buried in South Dakota with John

Caroline Amanda Curtis Hogan
There is a headstone for Caroline Amanda Curtis Hogan, wife of John Hogan, in the Willoughby Cemetery in Great Valley, NY. She is buried next to her daughter, Adaline Lucy Hogan Marsh and also her brother Abel Lampson Curtis and his wife, Jane Benjamin Curtis.

I am related through the Curtis line and am glad to know where John is buried. Thank you.
As a side note, Caroline's sister Jane Adeline Curtis Slocum and her husband William Slocum also lived and died in Howard, Miner County, South Dakota.

Hannah SAWDEY, dau. of Joseph SAWDEY & Jerusha KING
Hello Bill:

I wonder if you can help me prove/disprove whether Hannah SAWDEY, the daughter of Joseph SAWDEY and Jerusha KING was married to a Stephen TALMAGE, Jeremiah WOODMANSEE, or both?

Hoping to hear from you soon,

Deb

Mary Ann Allen Rogers
I am a decendant of the Rogers through the Hill line of Nancy Rogers Hill. I see you are a firm believer that Ethan Allen is our ancestor as well. It's sad that we can find no definative proof of this. What proof do you have that this is true?
Samuel Clemons is one of my favorite historical figures, how are you related to him?
Also is the Montalona website yours? It's very impressive.

Brookville Cemetery
John,
I looked at the file for Brookville Cemetery at the UWRF Archives. I found a Mr. and Mrs. Lennard Gorman buried in Lot 67 along with the other Gormans. They do not have a headstone. I added their information to Find A Grave and will transfer their memorials to you. I cannot figure out who to contact about your burial arrangements. I suggest you contact the Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley. They should know who to contact. Good luck.

Lowell Lake
Hi Bill,

I see you are a descendent of Ethan Allen. The same Ethan Allen from St. Lawrence county NY and wo married Asenath Warner? I am trying to track down info on her parents William Warner and Hanah Wilbur who were living in Chester, Windham and Londonderry in the early 1800s. William died August 16, 1823 in Londonderry and I think he might be buried in Lowell Lake cemetery likely without a visible tombstone.

Do you have any leads on this family?
