RE: Family
I've just added Jack to the list of children for Ernest and Jenny. Also changed that Ernie and his sons moved to Shotley as your dad suggested.

I can add or correct data when necessary.

I do have a difficult issue with my English ancestors, knowing exactly where they are buried and that's fairly important on FindAGrave although you can list them as burial unknown. I'm not sure they would come up on an inquiry, though.

RE: Family
It was actually Jenny's sister Emily whose picture I was thinking of. If you click on Jenny's parent, you will find their children listed. You can then click on each of the children (highlighted) to see a picture of them, if I had one.

I wish I had access to Mary Jay's pictures as I'm sure she visited the Whitings.

RE: Family
Hi, it was nice to hear from you.
I haven't worked on the family line for quite awhile as my husband isn't well and I don't have a lot of spare time now. However, genealogy is my passion and I have tried to get my ancestors on FindAGrave as I think it's a good permanent location for the future and love it that you can add pictures and a biography.

I'm not as familiar with the Whiting line as I am with the Jays...I descend from Dulcie (Jay) Baker whose Dad was Daniel Jay. I believe Jenny (real name Jane) was his older sister.

I got most of my data from Cousin Mary Jay in Canada (she visited England several times and is now in a nursing home). I also met Cissy (real name Blanche) who was originally a Whiting. She and her 2nd husband Gordon visited Mary in Quebec 3 or 4 summers. Her daughter Janet and husband Malcolm visited Canada where we also met them. (Actually we live in the US..Vermont to be exact..but traveled to Canada to visit the family there.

Another excellent source for you would be Maureen Whiting Barker. She lives at 9 Broadway, Wickham Market (that's where my 2 uncles, Fred and Bill were born), Woodbridge 1P1 30RN. She's the one I mentioned in the Ernest Whiting article who remembered her grandparents.
I think her father was William?

If you notice, in the listing, you can click on Jenny's parents....go to their site and click on THEIR parents...I think I have gone back 2 or 3 generations in the Jays...the families were SO big.

I think I do have a younger picture of Jenny I should add to her site...thought I had but have very little on the Whitings. I think Janet or Maureen would be a good source there.

I'll see what else I can gather...would like your e-mail address if possible.

Our daughter-in-law is due to pick us up in a few minutes so I'm rather dashing this off.
