12th generation of North American Wentworths. Descended from Ezekiel, son of William the Elder Wentworth. Retired and a bit of a history "nut" so I enjoy tracing ancestors and attempting to find final resting sites for people I trace.|

Frank -- I live in the same city but not close to the cemetery, and the weather is unpleasantly cold for cemetery walking right now. That doesn't mean I won't look for the grave, but not right now. Could you make the request through the Find A Grave request process? That way, it will be listed with the cemetery when I get around to visiting it (which is a more reliable way than leaving it in my email inbox for me to find it again). Also, there are a number of Find a Grave contributors in the city. One of them might get to it sooner than I can. Thanks. Sharron
Frank, I am a Wentworth descendant ( Great Grandmother Mabel Wentworth Spurling ) I have been looking around for the Location of Elder William Wentworth's memorial,also my Mother has told me she remembers a Wentworth Cemetary somewhere in the Dover area.I have looked and not yet found it. I live in Maine and am not far ,I have taken many photo's of Wentworth Markers in the area but have yet to find Mabel ,My mother say's that she is the cemetary I spoke of. Any help would be appreciated. Tony Smith

Frank--what's the name of the town where the William Wentworth marker is found? Seems I read somewhere that it isn't Dover, but some small town to the north. I would like to use the address you gave in the GPS, but need the name of the town. Thanks.--Stan

Thanks so much for the info on getting to the subject marker. Your directions sound very specific; I'm assuming it is visible from the road? My wife and I will look for it in July.

Can you give me directions to the William Wentworth memorial marker that you photographed for his memorial? I plan to visit Dover this summer, and if you have geo coordinates, that would be great, but old fashioned directions would be fine. Many thanks.
|lois michaud||RE: wentworth family|
yes please that would be nice.
i know that elder wm worked and did things all over the Maine and NH area and even saved several garrison in the somersworth/ dover areas, which i find to be very cool to think we are related to someone like this.
i have collecting things on the wentworths on and off though out the years i have found when you think you got it something changes,lol. but for the over most i'm doing fine holding my own. it was more important to me to fine my direct line first then work up the other lines.
like i said before i come from two lines at least on is wm son ephraim and the other is his son benjamin. both of my 5th and 6th generation grandparents are their childern on different sides but same generational relationships, lol too many big words in that sentance, lol.
well welcome home, then and keep in touch as you wish... your cousin, lois
|lois michaud||wentworth family|
my name is lois michaud, and i guess from your bio we are cousins some where down the road i also come from a long line of wentworth,grant libbey, pillsbury and heard/hurd families. i do agree with the "nuts" part it took me a long time to get what i have right never mind someone elses i line.
my line descent from elder wm, ephraim, ezekiel, ephraim, ezekiel, ephraim d., augusta, george, louise, my mom (whom is still living) and myself. this is only one side i also descend from the elder wm's son benjamin too i know how to go down that line too, i just figured i would give you the fast of the two at this time.
so, i gues i just wanted to say hi, enjoy, and welcome to the family(s).if you wish to contact me just email me i do respond it may take a day or so. also thanks for your help. i was missing some please and dates you were a great to have them done. bye for now
