I am family tree nut who started out just wanting to get the Pentwater Cemetery done because I saw it was lacking. I was hooked fast! I love Findagrave. I found many missing pieces for my own family tree and I received notes from others saying my worked helped them solve theirs. |
I don't mind transferring Memorials to family as long as they aren't my family too. All I ask is that you don't delete mine to replace with your own.
My family names include Wheaton, Genter, Bradl, Schwartz, Wiley, Hepworth, Emery, Hendrickson and Grondsma

|HWA||Minshall family, Pentwater Cemetery|
Hi Amanda. I have just added information and corrections to the Minshalls' monuments. The tombstone for them is incorrect -- they died in 1896, not 1897, and there are many newspaper articles online to confirm this. I believe that you are correct, that husband and father Samuel Bachtel Minshall is buried with them but without a marker, as he was responsible for their deaths. Thanks for all you are doing! HWA.

|William Brackett||William Coleman's father|
This appears to be the marriage record of Elizabeth Slater:
Looks like she married another William E. Coleman here in Berrien County in 1852.

Sorry I am not related and to my knowledge I have no relatives in NY anywhere.
I am in OK. My paternal line came out of PA in the mid 1920s and my maternal line came out of OR also mid 1920s. I married into the Freeman line which is out of NC established there in the 1770s.
Good luck in your search.

|William Brackett||Bakertown Cemetery|
The cemetery would not have the death records. If they exist they would be on file with the Berrien County Clerk. You can check death indexes at http://www.berrienhistory.org/arch.html to see if one exists.

Hi Amanda. There wasn't when I was clerk. We had a table cloth that had graves and plots on it. I made a file. But there were no records. The clerk since may have tracked down files from the state since.

You're very welcome!

Thank you! I always wondered why they ask you to enter the year of marriage when you first add a memorial. Then I realized that maybe it was for two different spouses. It did work for me, but I don't know how you will be able to do it on a memorial that already exists. Thank you for trying!
Thank You Amanda, I found him and I did see the Hepworth link, I thought you might know.
