I have used Findagrave for my own research for several years so I am very happy to be able to give back to this community. When people are missing from a cemetery list, it is satisfying to be able to add them and keep them from being forgotten.|
Searching through the cemeteries of Bucks and Hunterdon counties around New Hope, Pennsylvania, has also given me a new historical appreciation for the families who settled and prospered here, in my adopted home.

I was going to delete my duplicates after yours were corrected. Perhaps I should have been more clear. I do not think that my efforts to transcribe St. John the Evangelist Cemetery should eliminate your earlier efforts. Thanks for your help. Rhonda

It wasn't uncommon for Quakers to have minimalist or no grave marker. With hiim buried there in a Friends cemetary, it does change my earlier belief that he may have changed religions around 1870 when he moved across the river. I suspect two of his children (Robert 1850-1869, and Mary C, 1864-1870) were also buried there.

Thank you for the photo of Solebury Friends Row 34. Too based there aren't any Smith markers in the row.

You're very welcome - I just wish that I'd been able to find his stone for you! This cemetery has a lot of missing, broken or faded stones - probably due to the weather conditions, age, stone types, maintenance, etc. It's not unusual for this to be the case unfortunately.

It just so happens that I plan to go to Penang in April and revisit the cemetery. I'll try to retake the grave photo.

I corrected my entry for Mary and added a little more information. Are you related to her? She is my great great great grandmother.
|Carol & David||RE: Ralph & Irene Stahl|
Thank you for Irene's transfer and again thank you for taking the time to locate and photograph their gravestone.
|Carol & David||Ralph Stahl|
Thank you very much for the photo of Ralph's gravestone. Would you consider transferring his wife Irene to me? She is actually my relative. I was hoping she was buried with Ralph but wasn't sure. My contributor number is 47894434 and her memorial is 137709934 if you are willing to transfer. Thank you again for your time and help.

Thanks for the photo Megan
I actually have a few photos taken years ago by my cousins - as the CORYELL family buried here, in particular Abraham who is my ggggrandfather, belong to me!! So, now, I am seeking the other lines...Holcombes...and I do know just how small this cemetery is. I wish I had gotten my cousins to see if there was a transcript of all the burials in the Church records...but...back then I didnt know that much. My cousins live in Florida near me, and were travelling to NJ when they took the photos. The Church was under construction and huge scaffolding's were all around it - Your pictures are very nice and clear and I DOOOO appreciate your help!
Scott Baylor added the Augustus one, described where it was located....wonder why he didnt add the pic?? I will email him direct and perhaps he has a photo still in his files.
