I hope all FindAGrave members are well during the continued cold weather here in the U.S. To our overseas members, I extend the same concern. If you have the time let me know how you're doing.|
Special thanks go to all visitors who have tokened my Mom's memorial and those of her birds. The Cardinal (Red Bird) has special meaning to me. In my Mom's journals, which I found after her passing, she attempted to create fairy stories in which a Red Bird would appear at mysterious ways and times to help maidens in distress. They were fragments at best but expressed something of my Mom's underlying quest for unity with God. Her later journals were more focused on Scripture as her spiritual journey matured. I often think the Red Bird was an embodiment of her yearnings and the only vehicle she could think of in the early stages of her quest. Thanks to all who took the time to note that and leave these special tokens at her memorial.
I want to thank all visitors to my family memorials who have left tokens. Your prayers and remembrances are deeply appreciated. One thing I do request is that visitors be mindful of the comments they leave and the tokens left in memory of the deceased. My relatives are from different religious backgrounds: Orthodox Jewish, Roman Catholic and Episcopal. If you have questions about the type of token to leave, please contact me by EMAIL. This is not usually an issue but if you have any doubts I'm happy to clear them up for you.
I volunteer for the Fallen Graver Forum by leaving tokens at memorials established by the Fallen Gravers. If you ever need to contact me about any token I leave please be assured I will promptly comply with your request for changes or deletions.

Families that I am researching: Flashenberg (Austria, Poland, Hungary); Rosenbaum (Austria); Torregrossa (Spain and Sicily); Messina (Sicily); Stella (Sicily); Gioccimo (Sicily); De Francesco (Sicily); Muro (Italy); Serrapede (Italy); Pappalardo (Italy); Scotti (Italy); and also Mund (Austria).
My ancestors all came to the U.S.A. in the late 19th-early 20th century. For starters, I invite you to visit the Torregrossa and Serrapede memorials I manage to get a glimpse into my immediate family history.
I prefer the Public Message Board to be used for very brief communications or greetings. It is not a place for in-depth discussion. That is why I provide an email address for detailed communications.
For correcting memorials I manage: Follow the FindAGrave procedure by using the EDIT tab on the memorial and submit your updates or corrections. Allow me the full 30 days before contacting Admin. The Public Message Board is not to be used for this purpose.
In all matters of kinship: If we are related in anyway, then contact me by email and provide a link at Ancestry or some details about your family line, or perhaps your memorials here at FindAGrave.
Tokens and Comments MUST be respectful and not include any kind of political or ideological slant. Anything of this nature will be reported to the Admins for removal if it is not promptly removed by the person who placed it at any memorial I manage.
Transfer Requests: You must follow the established FindAGrave procedure and request transfer using the Send A Correction feature. Again do not use the Public Message board for this purpose. I do not transfer my relatives unless you are closer in kinship than I am. I will gladly transfer memorials of those not related to meand am willing to do so outside of guidelines provided your request shows a sincere desire to take over Stewardship of the memorial. Please supply enough details to help me make such a decision.
Please visit my Mother's Memorial: Emily Leatrice Serrapede
My Father's Memorial: Frank Jesse Torregrossa

Hey EmilyAnn, Thank you so much for the message and it is my pleasure to visit your family. Yes. seattle is very warm. Last night I was tempted to break the AC out of the closet so that I could crank it and sleep all snuggled up, but it wound up dropping into the upper 40's at night. I live near lake Washington, so it is like a micro-environment here. I always remember the winters from what people here refer to as "back east." If the west coast folks ever had to endure a east coast winter, with that Atlantic air whipping, I thnk they would just die :-)
|Oh look, a chicken!||RE: Thank you!|
Hi! Thank you for stopping to see my Q and Ra :) I miss them both so much, Q was my baby bird.
My screen name is from a time my Grandma were out and about, seems like we were garage-saling but it's been so long I can't recall exactly, and we were talking about something and she said "oh look, a chicken!" and sure enough, there was just this goofy chicken out in the middle of nowhere.
Also online some people use it to show that someone is really easily distracted, haha!
Thank you very much for your thoughtful token left for Casey. God bless you. Happy New Year.

Emily Ann, there is no time more fitting to say 'Thank You " for all the visits to my loved ones, and to wish you a Happy Holiday Season and A New Year of Peace and Happiness

Oh EmilyAnn, thank you so very much for remembering my dear son in your prayers. That is, indeed, the greatest gift to me; to know that my son is remembered! My family is quite small thus, I consider my friend's loved ones my friends as well. We all share the same grief and sense of loss and we all come here with the same purpose; to remember and honor our loved ones in heaven. And I do say prayers for your loved ones and everyone else I visit. I know how those tokens and caring words can put a smile in our aching hearts in the midst of so much sadness and loss. Thank you dear, for caring and my God bless you and your family this Christmas season and always dear. Merry Christmas and a very happy new year!!
