My name is Sandy Newsome. I began searching for ancestors on my father's side of the family because he knew no one in his lineage. With the help of infomration on gravesites that someone photographed, I have been able to give my father needed info on family members he never knew. Thus, I became hopeless hooked on ancestry and wanted to give back to those searching for their ancestors. One of the greatest assets is headstones. Good Hunting! And thanks to those who continue to chart cemeteries for us!

Mable De Haven 104794472
On Mable De Haven's memorial (#104794472), you added a photo for someone else. Could you please remove it? Thank you.

Sandy, I linked them. I discovered not long ago if you go to the top of the memorial where it says "edit", click that, then on the next page you can put in info that you need added or changed, then submit. Saves a lot of time and work on everybody's part. Thanks.

This is my aunt and my Aunt is not dead. If you are so hooked on Find A Grave then follow the rules, DO NOT ADD ANYONE a memorial if they are born after 1931. Please adhere to the rules of Find A Grave. Please remove my Aunt from Find A Grave. I noticed as well you have done this with numerous memorials and added photos. I know I did not like seeing my Aunt who is very much alive and doing well with a memorial. She was born after 1931 not before. Remove the memorial. I have notified Find A Grave admins about your activities with people who are still alive and born after 1931.

No dates on Abraham's grave marker
Sandy -I suspect a photo you took for memorial #103344472, Abraham Starling, may be the grave of a son of my great, great, great grandfather WILLIAM ALLEN STARLING, who was born in/near Lumberton, NC on 23-May-1781 and moved to SC in 1799. He had 5 children with his first wife, Penelope Harrell: Elizabeth (b.1800); ABRAHAM (b.1803); Rebecca (b.1804); Levi (b.1805); and Allen (b.1810). Can you tell how old this grave could be? RE: Moses Rush Welch
Sandy, thank you so much for the help. I don't have any suggestions on dealing with un-friendly cemetery personnel -- too bad that is the case. I've only dealt with a couple of them and were actually helpful, but they had an appreciation for genealogy and I guess that makes the difference. I do appreciate your efforts -- just give them your best smile!!
Thanks again,

RE: Moses Rush Welch
I also have 3 other grandparents buried in Greenwood. The next time you are out there, would you mind taking photos of:
EVELYN BLISS 1900-Aug.30, 1944
CHARLES P. LASETER - Jan 1864-March 8, 1925
EMMA LASETER - Jan 12,1866 - May 13, 1947.
I am hoping to be able to travel to Alabama one of these days and visit the Greenwood Cemetery.
Thank you!

Moses Rush Welch
Thank you so much for adding the Moses Rush Welch photo to find-a-grave! You stated that it is an unmarked grave, but is the cement slab the actual burial site? Moses is my grandfather, and has a very interesting story regarding this death.
Again, thank you so much!
