T.J. White has been researching various families since 1978 (when he was only fifteen!). He has published his findings on a few of these families. I just came across you extensive study of Jacob White online. I enjoyed reading it.
My great, great grandmother is Savannah White, daughter of James V. White and Martha.
I was wondering if I would need an appointment or permission to visit Utoy cemetery?
Thanks for your hard work and passion for history!

Thanks for the photos.

The photo you thought was of her in mourning is actually just her later in life (probably why she looks so sad!). She was only 31 years old when her husband died...
I unfortunately don't have scanned copies of deeds to send you. As mentioned, everything burned in the fire. All of the records which I had copies of were lost -- several boxes full! What I DO have is the description of each of them. If you don't have these, let me know and I can get them to you.

I've looked everywhere for your JMB Kelly over the years also. He's my 2nd great-granduncle. I have lots of deeds for him (11 total), but could never locate him after the 1880 census.
That's terrible about the photographs. I had TONS of photos of various ancestors, all which were lost in my house fire (total loss) four years ago. I had scanned some, but computer was total loss. Also had external back up drive with data, but it crashed a year before the fire and I hadn't done another external backup.
What we wouldn't all give for those photos!

I looked at my family tree and find I have her name as Claramond Alice T. Willis (Landrum, of course). Thanks for bringing it up. I'll gladly make corrections but may I ask where your information comes from? I didn't note where I got mine and I'd like to record the source.

TJ - I wanted to thank you for all the work and effort and love you have put into this project. My great grandmother was Camilla White, daughter of James V. White and granddaughter of Jacob White Jr.. Fron the Census, I found Camilla White Bentley in residence at Black Hall District. If my mememory serves me, Camilla is buired at State Line Cemetary across the AL/GA border.

You are so welcome! Karma... what goes around comes around.
I received an email after posting your photo, that a request I made a while back has been fulfilled.
Have a blessed day!

Thanks so much for adding the memorial & pictures. They were my husbands 4th Great grandparents. Have been looking for them some time but didn't get a lead until I found out that their daughter Mary Ann married George Rainey. Beverly Ackermann Jobe

Sorry it took so long but I'm updating this.
Thank you so much for your part in the upkeep of Utoy Cemetery. Many of the people buried there are my relatives. James and Avy Jane Landrum are my ggrandparents. I'd love to help but I live in extreme southeast Georgia.
