I grew up in Rockwall, Tx. I caught the genealogical bug while taking a course on ethnicity in college. Of course, all those family reunions and the old-timers' stories added to that need to connect my family's pasts. It's like a giant jigsaw puzzle that you never finish, because there's always another piece to fit in. I like to fill in as many allied branches to my family tree as I can find. Helping out on this website to connect others to their roots in a visible way is wonderful. Everyone is welcome to copy and use any pictures I have placed here on "Find a Grave". Happy hunting! Are you related to Carrie? You manage her memorial. My grandmother was her sister. I recently was provided a pic of her that I will be attaching when I get approval to. Anyway, if you are family would enjoy talking with you.
Take care
Grandaughter of Edna Ora Jackson who is Carries sister

Grains Hill / Rains Hall Cemetery

I see that you have visited Rains Hall Cemetery. Are you familiar with the area? I believe that Grains Hill and Rains Hall Cemeteries are one in the same. If you look at historic USGS maps, it is listed as Grains Hill. If you use Google "street view", there is a sign over the entrance that indicates Rains Hall. Can you confirm? As there is no Find A Grave map location associated with this cemetery, I would like to propose to the Find A Grave Administrators that the Cemetery name be changed to "Grains Hill Cemetery", AKA "Rains Hall Cemetery" and a map location be given "N 32.60478 W 96.52657". What are your thoughts and do you agree or disagree with my proposal?

Thanks, Aaron in Houston

Once again
Dear Friend; Once again I will try to leave you a mesage about the memorial for Mary Elizabeth "Bess" Grubbs in Crandall Cemeter, After my cousin Bess passed away, you provided a photograph fo her gravestone which at that time only had her birthdate. I have now provided a photograph that was taken after the inscription ws completed that included the death date. II cannot remove the one you placed there, though I oversee the memorial. I would appreciate it if you could delete the one of her gravestone that you provided.

RE: Talley and Cady at Rains Hall Cemetery
Thank you for walking the cemetery. I did try finding plot information. I just may have to show no markers still viable. Have a Great Thanksgiving - Sue Armstrong

RE: Nora Cady - Lee Cemetery
I think I found where she might actually be buried, instead of the Lee Cemetery, she might be in the Rains Hall Cemetery in Seagoville. I sat up her parents-in-law and possibly her husband, Donald C is buried there also, since he died in 1982.

I'm finding that the death certificates either mention Rains or just plain Seagoville. Just wanted to give you a clue, as there are other Cady's buried in Rains Hall. - Sue Armstrong
