Yes, I belie the Helms was through Asa's first marriage. I recall that Esther had a lot of clippings on that line. Her children and step children still have the farm so you might be able to get in touch with them. I am 75 now and not traveling that way as often as I did a few years ago. Asa served as a JP and when he passed Esther became the JP. Her father was Edmund Fayette, son of Harrison and Harriet Sherwin Fayette. DeAnna, Additions done. I am remembering that some Helms connected with my cousin, Esther Fayette who married Asa Holmes. She died several years ago but when she and I were working on out line- Esther was the daughter of my grandfather's brother- and also had another connection with the Sherwin line through her mother, Nellie Ellen Fadden.
