Basically trying to find myself in this sea of people I call family living and non living. Trying to figure out who we are, where we come from, and becoming more and more interested in all of this adventure or journey whatever it may be at this point. I need all the help I can get and would surely appreciate any. |
A big thank you to those of you who make this possible, your efforts of searching, volunteering, taking of photos, and all of your hard work thanks for caring and sharing.
* Thanks Melissa

|rubonix||RE: Campbellton Relatives|
Melissa, I asked my mother about Alice Contreras and she added a tiny bit of information. She said Alice's husband was named Keno. Don't know if that's how it was spelled or maybe Quino. She said she knew that Alice had at least 2 daughters, but could have had additional children, but she didn't recall. My mother said she would try and see if she might have a picture of Alice, but I'm not sure how easy it would be for her to locate as the picture is probably from the 50s. So let me know if this is a relative of yours. Take care. --ruben

Melissa, on my paternal ancestry side of my family are the Ayala family who settled in and resided in Campbellton. Initially that was my grandpa and grandma Aurelio and Sara Ayala, who are buried in the Campbellton Cemetery. They had 6 sons, most of whom were born there. When I was doing more research on my family a few years ago, I contacted the LDS church and got the church records for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Campbellton to see what listings for my family would be found in the records. Just scanning that today I see a listing for Alice Contreras who was the baptismal sponsor for my sister Irene. Is Alice a relative of yours? I can ask my mother if she knew any other Contreras or Toscano family members from there, although we only resided in Campbellton briefly when my father was in between his military assignments and we were visiting.
Thank you for your work and efforts, I was able to find several family members as I'm working on my family tree's this site has been beneficial. Are you or your wife related to any of the Contreras or Toscano's from Campbellton, my mom's relatives?
