|I have been into genealogy since about 1993, I am still learning and researching. I just recently became manager of the Andrew Lee and Clarinda Knapp Allen Family, their ancestors and descendants here on Find A Grave. I want to thank Debi Grossnickle for helping me get going on FAG. Clarinda Knapp's mother descended from Stephen Hopkins who came over on the Mayflower in 1620. My personal experiences on my genealogical path have been very rewarding and I encourage anyone thinking of researching to jump in and get your feet wet - it's a lot of fun, it's interesting and fulfilling. I have also created a genealogical website hosted by tribalpages.com, "crosthwaitetree".|

|Zane's Mom||RE: Contribution to Rachael Stone Crosthwait|
My email is my work email so I don't have it listed with this site. What is your question about Rachel Stone?
|Anonymous||RE: A 3rd Marriage for Thomas Crosthwait|
I have nothing on Elizabeth Rogers but Thomas Crosthwait married Rachel Stone, sister of his first wife, Mary, in Bourbon Co. KY, on 4 Nov. 1800, Bourbon Co KY Marriage Records. I do have will, deeds, etc. for them in Boone Co. MO. They are buried in what is now Finger Lakes State Park, Boone Co. MO. The Peabody Coal Company mined the area that was the Crosthwait farm and it was called the Mark Twain Mine. After the coal company was finished with the land, it was restored to become a State Park. One old book from 1934 said the "Graves are fenced and marked with stones but the names are worn off." We tromped all over that place but never found the graves. In the Abstracts from Bourbon Co. KY, Master Commissioner's Deed Book "A", pg. 594, dated 9 April 1832, are listed the heirs of Edward Stone, dec'd. Thomas Crosthwaite and Rachel is wife, are in that list. I think Edward was an unmarried brother, I've forgotten. The heirs of Polly (Mary) Crosthwaite are listed too, which includes my "Robert B. Dickerson and Sally (Sarah Crosthwaite). This should be proof enough of the third marriage.
|Anonymous||A 3rd Marriage for Thomas Crosthwait|
After Mary Stone Crosthwait's death, Thomas married Elizabeth Rogers on 14 Nov. 1799, Albemarle County, VA. They had one child before Elizabeth died about 1800 in Bourbon Co. KY: Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" Crosthwait, b. abt 1800. Betsy married James Henry Davis and had Mary Ann , Elizabeth Jane and James Davis.
Then, Thomas Crosthwait married Rachel Stone, the sister of Mary, on 4 Nov. 1800.
