I am posting what I know about the folks who were buried at several family cemeteries that would likely be overlooked otherwise, then linking them to as many descendants as practicable. Each of these cemeteries includes a gravesite of the first family member to reside on the land on which the cemetery was established.
I have been very pleased to learn that many other people are interested in memorializing those who have gone before us, and are eager to share what they know to make each memorial as accurate as possible.

i am related to john heis jr, my father & my grandfather, john heis sr in morgantown, wv, let me see when he died in aug 13,1932 at beverly hills cemetery park, morgantown, wv....he was married to elma alma kendall, the 2nd wife, she was born down there...do you have anymore information for me?

I can tell you for certain that there is no marker or card for Peyton Bibb at Oakwood. However, there are scores and scores of unknowns and unmarked burials everywhere. Yes, I am aware that the Bibb family was very prominent here.
The records which were lost in a court house fire made a reading of the cemetery necessary and even then it is not accurate. In the William G. Bibb lot there is a marker but it is badly worn and illegible.

I see that you created a memorial for Lula Chaplin Hartman. I am curious why there is no photo of the grave marker. Is it possible to find the plot location to have a photo taken? The Chaplins are in my family line.
