RE: Nathaniel Bryant Owens
Hi Patti,

Thanks supplying the Find-a-Grave number for Nathaniel Owens. I was able to find the memorial you were describing and I believe I understand the issue. If I understand correctly, you're saying that 1) the birth dates and place as well as the death dates and place on the memorial are incorrect, and 2) that Sarah Owens is not the daughter of # 74660204 Nathaniel Bryant Owens.

I should have known better because I know that it would be very, very, very unusual for someone who died in 1807 to be buried in Arlington Cemetery. I'm not real pleased with the new way that Find-A-Grave has expedited the suggested edit function. On one hand it's faster to process the edits, but on the other hand, it's very difficult for me to identify inconsistencies such as the birth/death date that you pointed out. I'm glad you found the error. I've removed the birth and death information from the memorial.

Unfortunately, I can't change the linkage of Sarah as the daughter of # 74660204 Nathaniel Bryant Owens. You'll have to contact the creator of Sarah's memorial in order to have her linkage to # 74660204 Nathaniel Bryant Owens removed.

I'm am not related to # 74660204 Nathaniel Bryant Owens. Would you like to manage this memorial?

It is find a grave # 74660204 Nathaniel Bryant Owens. Our Nathaniel died 1807. The one posted is a Nathaniel B Owens from NY whom died in the Civil War. It is hard to do family research, and I know people get desperate and want to find something, and at times they grab onto anything we can. I am also of the Sarah Owens/Hugh Gordon line and if you want to email me I can help with what I know. I research Owens mainly.

RE: Nathaniel Bryant Owens

I definitely want to fix my mistake, but I don't understand what it is I am to fix. It sounds like I need to delete a photo from a memorial. Is this correct? If so, what is the number of the memorial that has the photo that I need to delete?

The headstone you posted for Nathaniel is not the father of Sarah Owens Gordon. That headstone belongs to Nathaniel B Owens who died Sept 7th 1861 age 18 from Rochester NY.

RE: Westenhiser
Patti. greetings! It was my pleasure. My graving partner and i spent the whole day there fulfilling photo requests. I didnt see an Allan Westenhiser there as Ruby was buried alone. As for the "family plot" i mentioned i did photograph them; Adeline, Florence and Adelbert. Search by last name on the ARC homepage and you'll find them. The other names you mentioned (Frank, Oscar, Stella, Minnie) i did not see either. I am presuming that these 3 are in the same Westenhiser family as that is not a common name and they are in fairly close proximity to where Ruby is located to them. Id be more than happy to go back to try and find more of the family but it wouldnt be until August, at least, before i can go back. Take care, Terry aka CemeTerry Photographer.

Hi Patti,

I see you're rather new to Find A Grave. I will have the picture soon and thought while I'm there I could get all the Kittells around her. If you have info to add to memorials, send a correction msg or I can transfer anyone to you. Find A Grave would like transfers to be very close relatives, so if you're interested...

Have a great day.
