It would be nice if we could arrange a meeting! My email is email@example.com. If you send me an email there, I'll send my phone number. I don't want to post it publicly.
I was just poking around the Erie cemetery yesterday and was in Laurel Hill today. Wouldn't it have been funny if we had run into each other?
P.S. A day time meeting would be best for me.

I saw your photo of Arthur Bates' stone. Arthur was the son of my great-grandmother, Rose Schnell Bates. I wonder if we are related, even if it's distantly.

Hi yes the photographer gives his permission to use the photo on Ancestry.
Thanks for asking first!
|Barbara Sargent||photo request for Harriet Marsh|
Do you have any idea what part of the
Sill family she was connected too?
She was not beside her husband,he was
only one on that big lot, unless she
never had a marker. Thanks, Barb S.

Lovely to hear from you! How was your Edna related to our Minnie Bell? My husband, Glenn Kestner, was born in 1930 and Minnie lived until 1947. One of his memories was the aroma of her hot rolls that she would tote from her house to the Walter Clifton house, diagonally situated. Thelma has been dead twenty-one years. Thelma and Walter had a daughter in 1946, Linda Susan, who lives in Pebble Beach CA.
Lots of Kestners buried at South Side Cemetery and we have relevant photos. What we don't have is our great-great Grandmother Kestner, nee Anna Maria "Martha" Wettlaufer, born in Hessen in 1842 (no census evidence of her by 1900). In the last few years, we've discovered that she married again after the death of Moritz Kestner. Her second husband was John Bowers and she gave birth to at least two Bowers sons: George and Henry. We don't know when Martha died nor where she might be buried. South Side may be her burial place so it would be wonderful if you stumble across a Bowers plot. Thanks for your time and trouble...wish I were going with you to Pittsburgh!

There is no headstone for Gilbert. He is Garden of Peace, Lot 2, Row I, Space 1--right next to wife Jeanette.

Your very welcome. Your inclusion of Block and Lot was very useful. I would recommend you keep that in mind for any future Oakland photo requests.
I notice there are no photos of the nice Berrisford monument on the two other Oakland findagrave memorials dedicated to the Berrisford family, for John Andrew and Elizabeth Y. I will add them next time I'm passing through the neighborhood. Please let me know if you'd also like a photo of the Berrisford monument uploaded to Mary Sherrod Anderson's findagrave memorial - not sure it's appropriate.
If you'd like a "sneak preview" of what the Berrisford monument looks like, you can use the (approximate) GPS coords I included in the photo caption with Google Maps in Street View and take a look at the area. In Street View, the monument is easy to find (to the left of an evergreen tree) but markers aren't identifiable as seen from the road that passes by the Berrisford lot.
Sorry, I didn't see that you did have memorials posted for the others. I posted the pictures. The dates aren't the same for Katherine so I hope it's the right stone.
