Fireco Cemetery
Do you know where Betty Cooper lives it is located on a hill above her house. She is my cousin I used to live in the same house in the 50's seen many a burial there. You can access it two ways when you come off the hardtop road turn left and follow the road it is a little ways up the mountain or the easy way is go across the bridge and turn right follow until u come to the first house on the right (betty's house is the second one) her brother lives in the first trailer and her mother Polly in the second trailer the cemetery is straight above these houses you will have to cross the creek it is probably overgrown with trees and weeds.

Fireco Cemetery
Hello, I noticed you added some names in this cemetery that should be in the other Fireco Cemetery that was for the Blacks only I lived below this cemetery until mid 60's when I moved. They are Arthur Dunn 130055110, Lonnie Dunn 130055181, and Joyce Laverne Austin 130055052. Thanks in advance.

RE: Flo Caudill
Thank you for your effort! I do see a few memorials IN Winding Gulf, and sometimes cemeteries go through name changes. I am helping some research the family and these babies were unknown, so we weren't sure we had the correct parents. Something really has my curiosity up...William was born in April 2 months premature and Flo was born in July to the same mother, but apparently with some health issues. Flo was not listed on the 1930 census with the family in question, but she may have been in Beckley in the hospital. I suppose Flo could have survived a premature birth of her twin brother, but considering the time....a miracle!

Tena Trump Dancy
Tena's husband Thomas Dancy is in my family tree. I found her obituary while researching Dancys and Clarks and logged it in to FindAGrave.

RE: Isaac Meadows

Well you hit an interesting topic for me... I am related to an Isaac Henderson Meadows 137811715 who had a son Samuel J. Tildon Meadows... but they're not the ones that you're talking about. My GGGgrandfather was Richard Meadows and his brother was Isaac Henderson Meadows. My Isaac died as a result to an ambush and is buried somewhere around Covington. I've made contact with some of his family and hope to get him properly documented this summer/spring as some of what I have on his memorial needs to be fixed/completed. His son Samuel J Tilden is memorial 29627143 buried in Oregon.

I had found your Isaac when I was looking for my Isaac a while back but as of yet I'm afraid that I don't really know exactly how he fits in - I think his father was Sylvester and I can't find a Sylvester in the prior generations of my line which was Jeremiah Isaac Meadows and Josiah Meador. I do have to admit though I'm still working at the Jeremiah Preston level so it's possible I'm not anywhere near done with Jeremiah Isaac's kids yet.... I go down each branch and then make contact with a living descendant to verify what I have is correct for that branch. At the rate that I'm going Jeremiah Preston alone will take about a year and I do believe that Jeremiah Isaac had around 20 kids so it could take that long for each branch or longer depending on how many limbs and twigs and of course honeysuckle there are....

Sorry for the long answer... am I right about Sylvester being your Isaac's father - do you know who Sylvester's parents were?? I did find a marriage record for Sylvester and Mary F Way but his parents were not listed...

Thanks for your help!!

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

Belvie Stover

Just wanted to let you know that Belvie Stover is in a cemetery that is more commonly known as Maggie Lilly Cemetery. I'm not saying that it's not called Farley Cemetery.... just that findagrave has a lot more entries in Maggie Lilly... I went up to WV and took a bunch of pictures of that cemetery and I'm trying to sort through who I need to add and who is already entered so that I don't make a duplicate. I found Belvie's memorial and put the picture of the headstone on it for you.

I've probably got 30 more to add to that cemetery. There are 2 smaller cemeteries beside of Maggie Lilly each having only a couple of folks in them... one is Cadle and the other is Mitchem...

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

Nellie Grey Lambert
I guess the answer would be, yes. My husband is descended from Arthur Hercules Lambert whose brother, Berna Alderson Lambert was married to Nellie Grey Bailey. Are you in West Virginia?
