I'm thrilled to have found this website, and enjoy adding to the Harshman family across the country. I owe all of the information to Charles William Harshman and his wife Mavourneen Harshman who documented all the Harshman in the U.S. in their first two books through about 1972. They put together thousands of extended Harshman family members without a computer. My first entry to FAG was my younger brother Douglas Asa "Doug" Harshman who passed away in 2009.
DEAR ANCESTOR: Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished marble stone. It reaches out to all who care It is to late to mourn. You did not know that I exist You died and I was born Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, and bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find the spot, And come to visit you.

 | 82796965 memorial duplicate Hi, I notice that you made a very nice memorial for this ancestor of yours, but someone else had already made one. In these cases, you can ask the person who made the previous memorial to transfer the memorial to your management. I notice that you are doing the Harshman tree, so I will transfer to you any memorials for Harshmans that I make. I like taking photos at the cemeteries, but I don't like to manage them if they are not my own relatives. All the best. Yours, Ava | | | karon raschke
 | RE: Cora Harshman Linebaugh I was just so excited to see that we have artifacts that still exist and to find out how you managed to get a hold of the information you did . I was also interested in where you fit in in this equation. I have always been a big history buff but just got into doing genealogy last year and I am really enjoying it. Thank you for responding Karon

 | RE: Link I've link Eugene with his father. Just a note - if you go into the memorial and use the edit tab along the top it is easier to make the links. Thanks! Rachel GAdded by Rachel G on Jan 09, 2013 1:02 AM | | | Mary Hobbick Hawkinson
 | RE: Link Can you explain how I add a link? I haven't done that before and I have not been on this site for a very long time. Mary | | | | [View all messages...] |
