I am working on Find A Grave to make loving memorials for my family members, and to link them together. I have fond memories of my family, and miss them very much. I don't want them to be forgotten.|
Please don't use my "family photos" without crediting me. I keep finding them on other sites, with other people's names on them! My wife and I are working on my family tree on Ancestry.com. I have already uploaded my family photos there. If you have a tree there, simply "attach" them to your tree. That way, you don't break my connection and communication to related families by uploading them as your own.
You have my permission to use the photos that I have taken of headstones for your genealogy work. All that I ask is that you credit me for my photos where you use them.
I will transfer any memorials that I have created that are not related to me - even if they are your aunts, uncles, and cousins! Just use the "edit" tab on the person that you wish to be transferred, then click "suggest a correction". Be sure to add your Find A Grave number to your transfer request.
I think that it is disgraceful for people to make thousands of memorials for other people's relatives (that they have no relationship to), then refuse to transfer them to their family, just because they are not in "direct line".
Thank you to all the volunteers for your hard work taking photos and making memorials, and for transferring them into the loving hands of their families.

I would like to talk to you privately. Can you give me your email address?

So sweet of you. They are my friend's family as as she does not "do" Find A Grave, and yet is interested and a genealogist - I "do" her family for her. So officially-they are not "mine" so I don't require them. I HAVE quite a few of hers and have created a few and take good care of them - so your call!
I'd be happy to "have them" until someone came to me who is closer than my friend - but it's all good. Thanks for entering and making connection/additions for us. Thanks!

There is a Frank and Wesley buried in that family plot, too. I don't see memorial pages for them. Would you like me to create them?

Thank you for transferring her memorial to me. She was my great aunt, sister to my Grandpa. I appreciate this gesture.
Hello R Gregory,
Most glad to transfer Lemuel Bessey to your care. I also transferred the other 5 Bessey's to you as well.
My profile page is closed. Someone (under Anonymous) left a flower token on my husbands memorial (two dasies) with the words "Hope you join him soon". I would not transfer one of my direct ancestors to them. I moved my husband and my son, they both died the same year, 2011, 7 months apart, to a closed virtual cemetery, only family and those who know our last name can view and leave tokens, then I close my profile page.
I enjoy helping others, so I try to get as much cemetery info into Find A Grave as I can, but I will not be abused by anyone.
Enjoy your continued search.
The Best to You and Yours, Butterfly~Kisses
