Bio and Links
Bio Photo Mayflower Connection: I descend from the following
Degory Priest, Francis Eaton, John Alden,Priscilla Mullins, Myles Standish, Peter Brown, Francis Cooke, George Soule, Isaac Allerton, Richard Warren, through my father, Member 27436, Society of Mayflower Descendants.

My uncle, Carl Glee Smith Jr is memorialized at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philippines. His life was lost during Typhoon Cobra, December 18, 1944 when three ships went down, USS Hull, USS Monaghan and his ship the USS Spence. I have attempted to leave notes at each of the memorials for the 793 sailors who lost their lives that day. I also see many other memorials that no one has left flowers or honored them, I am also honoring those as I have time. There are over 44,033 memorials at that cemetery. May God bless the thousands of families who suffered loss during WW II.

I am attempting to link many of Smith burials in an effort to help those who are just starting their family search venture. Descending from four Smith branches is a challenge. At the present time, I am linking Smiths from several states from Vermont, New York,Ohio to Illinois, Nebraska and Kansas. From Virginia through Kentucky to Arkansas. From Georgia, Arkansas to Texas.

In addition, I am documenting my Jones from New Hampshire, through Ohio, Illinois to Nebraska.

A few of my family lines are Blatherwick, Farrow, Gilbert, Wood, Kelsey, Evans, Blake, Cady, Watkins, Stewart, McCormick, Jones, Stiles, McDermott, Hoffman, Smith, Black, Brazle, Roth, Martin, Cole, Morgan, Oswalt

If you use my personal photos, please give me credit for the photo, this includes family photos posted as well as cemetery photos. Thank you.

I will consifer transferring memorials that are your direct family, but not my family line. I am not into numbers and am happy to share my work. I love to link family members and to know a bit about the person.

The many Foushees of Ekron
As far as I know, they're different Marys. Those are different sides of the same marker. It has 3 Marys and a Joseph on it. Good eye though. If you find out anything different let me know!

Robert H. Cannon
I will be happy to link Robert to his mother and father but I will need their memorial page numbers. Also, I have no idea who his nephew is and who his parents are.

Their suggestion:
Thank you for establishing Robert's memorial,
he was born in Meade County, Kentucky

You also have his nephew's memorial, I did ask that his nephew be linked to his parents.

Robert H Cannon was single, and as far as my records show, was never married.

I have requested through edit button link to his mother, Susan.

Daniel Pattee (104686991)
I was wondering if your research shows Judith Burley Pattee buried in West Canaan Cemetery with her husband. I have most of her information but I don't have the place of burial. Also, do you know if there is a headstone for them?

Thank you!

Susan P Edmonds Carter

I received your message on Susan Edmonds Carter's parents William Pryor Edmonds & Nancy Ellen Brown Edmonds.

Susan Philomean Edmonds and Thomas Larkin Carter were my great grandparents. I live in FL, but made a trip to IL and Meade county last year to find my grand parents, great grandparents & 2x great. I did find quite a bit, considering that all I knew on the Carter side was my grandfather's name was Carl Benjamin Carter and he was born in Wolf Creek, KY. (He walked out on my dad's family when my dad was only about 4 and they did not see him after that).

I did find back to my 2x great William Larkin Carter and Martha Jane Chaffin. However, I hit a dead end again there. William's death certificate states that his parents were from VA, but did not give either of their names.

Any information that you may have would be greatly appreciated. I would love to get a copy of Susan P Edmonds Carter's death certificate and also Thomas's if you would have it.

I made the changes in find a grave.

Thank you
Dean Carter

Charles Grafton Whaley
You have a memorial for him being in the Riddle Cemetery in Bath County, Kentucky which is not true. He is in Bethel/Longview and this has been documented in the USGWArchives project. I have documented the entire Riddle Cemetery in 2006 and he is most definitely not there.

Charles Bronston Berryman at Richmond Cemetery
Hi Vickye,
My source for Charles is "Inventory of Burials, Richmond Kentucky Cemetery, Inc." Edited by Jerry Parrish Dimitrov & Jackie Couture; page 400 Section X lot 253.

Charles is buried with Nancy K. Berryman Hardin, (1890-1965) inscription "wife of C. B. Merryman". Raymond G Krause, (1919-1973), Debra J. Robinson, (2 June 1954- ?), Escoe Robinson,(2 Feb 1955- ?), Frank E. Hendricks, (18 Mar 1930- ?), and Lonnie J. Hendricks, 8 June 1933- ?)

Hope this helps. You might want to check with the Cemetery office and look at their records in the interment list. Please let me know if I can provide any more help.
