While constantly doing work on many branches of my family, I'm currently working on a book of descendants of John Carlile (1784-1846) and Frances Tucker (1801-1858), taking me all over the country.

Thanks so much for adding the pic of the marker, giving the cem. I did not have the cem, so this really helped.

|Suzannah McCuen||re bio source on memorial 25301923|
You sent an email inquiring as to the source of the "obituary" on this man's memorial. It did not come from an obituary. It came from my research, using records available on Ancestry.com. I researched everyone in the hospital cemetery using that source. On some I was able to find quite a bit, on others very little. I pieced together the biography on each memorial from what I had found in that research. The "link" listed on the memorial is not a working link but if you copy and paste it in a search you should be able to see the tree on Ancestry.com that holds the records I found on this man and his relatives, as well as that of all of the other men, women and children buried in the hospital cemetery. It may be, though, that membership on Ancestry.com is needed. The information regarding the specifics of his length of stay at the hospital and the cause of his death came from his death certificate, available on Ancestry.com. I'm glad you found it helpful.

Derek - I notice your photo for John Carlisle's marker in the Carlisle Cemetery says Copyright Derek Shuler. Would it be OK to download the photo to my family tree in Ancestry.com? Denny Carlisle

Email me firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you more info in email. Donald V Page that worked for Nasa in Florida did extensive research and wrote two PAGE books, which I have both copies. We have communicated with him several times in past years, even though if I recall correctly, he has passed away. We have also made several trips to SC following his research. I will be out of town for couple weeks, & will get back with you as soon as I can. Are you a descendant?Annette Shaw
Hi! I transferred your grandparents over to you. Thank you for your kind words. They are greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Have a great day!

I descend from Emily Catherine who married Henry Arant. If you do get a chance to get another photo could you also get his wife Elizabeth (Till).?

The cemetery is located in a grove of trees in the middle of a field on the west side of Shulmer Road between Mt. Carmel Road and Dwight Swamp Road. Gps Cordinates are 33.5537338, -80.7622833 This information was from Jim Rickenbackers' genealogy page.I emailed him about a year ago regarding posting the grave info he had on to this site.He was shown the locations by Harry Ulmer. His page has helped me when verifying my research. The cemetery is located on private lands but I do not know who the owner is. How do you descend from John Rickenbaker?
