Susan, Thank you so much for the marvelous photos. You are doing such a great job for those of us that can't get to the cemeteries.

Anna Westergaard
Hello, Susan, I wanted to thank you for sponsoring Anna Westergaard's listing and to ask whether you are related in some way to her. I'm not related so if you wanted to have Anna's listing transferred to you, please let me know. I've posted the text of her death record tonight, as well as two headstone photos that I took that, unfortunately, didn't come out very well. The type of headstone doesn't lend itself to photographing without some chalking to bring out the engraving. The left side of her headstone, which I assume to be James C. Westergaard, is completely unreadable.

If I have a chance, the next time I'm in Seattle, I'll try to find her headstone again and attempt a better picture. Lakeview cemetery was about half a block from the Volunteer Park play area where I often took my kids 40+ years ago. Ann

RE: Robert W. Taylor
Thanks. still have no clue if this is my Taylor. His cousin is still alive, I've sent some info to her to see if she can help figure this out.

What a pity the marker is so light; thanks alot for the notes on the photo. I changed him to Lakeview cemetery. Hope that's correct?

Hi! Susan, I've transferred the two Petersen listings to you. Before I did so, I added a death record to one of them that I found on our wonderful WA state archives at this URL:

http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/Home

It's a wonderful resource once you figure out how to copy documents from it (let me know if I can help you in that regard). I'm one of the hundreds of volunteers who have transcribed records into digital format (esp. the death records) to make them available to researchers. The best resources (in my mind) of the archives are the marriage records, since the older ones show the original documents.

I never charge for photographing headstones. The Lake View cemetery is located near where I lived when my three kids were growing up--in fact, it was adjacent to the park they played in. Now, when I drive to Seattle to visit with them, I sometimes stop by the cemetery to take a few more headstone photos. Ann

Hello, Susan, thanks for sponsoring these two findagrave listings. Are you related to them? I ask because I'm NOT related . . . just enjoy photographing headstones in my free time. If you're related and would like to have these two transferred to you, I'd be happy to do so. Ann Koch
