Thank you for sending me a photo of his tombstone. Another piece of the family puzzle in place.

Shotwells
Hi Trish,

I am so pleased to find you and that wonderful
photo of your nana Shotwell. We have a family connection. My great grandfather,Charles Mare Shotwell ( 1869-1940 ) was the son of George W. Shotwell ( 1839- 1904 ) and Rhoda Amanda Thompson (1842-1906 ). George and Theodore Benedict Shotwell were brothers. They were the sons of Manning Shotwell (1816-1855) and Lucy Ann Cannon( 1825- 1912 ). Please contact me . The Shotwells have such a rich history in Staten Island. I would love to connect with some cousins.

Regards,
Evie

Re: Sidman Coburn, s/o William and Fannie Coburn
Hi, Trish =])
Sorry, I don't have any further info on the Coburns. I was recording all burials in Auld Kirk Cemetery from the photos I had taken 3 years ago, and tracing down as many descendants of the many various families as I could discover easily. Usually I only followed through one generation in either direction, and didn't push much farther beyond into recent history. The Coburn who led me to William and Fannie and their other children, was Jane Coborn (1810-1898) who married a Faris in West Gwillimbury Township.

On the other hand, have you looked at Find A Grave Memorial# 47193954 for a Sidman Coburn? Alliston (Union Cemetery) is not far (less than 15-20 min drive) from Newton-Robinson where William and Fannie are buried. Highly likely it would be the right person. And I know the contributor is very approachable. :D

Best wishes, =]) Beth (west Hamilton/Ancaster ON)

Hi Patricia

Are there any headstone photos you still need or obits you would like? One index for obits is at http://www.epl.ca/, under Digital Content, choose Databases, then Edmonton Obituaries. You can then search for anyone between January 1, 1950 and December 31, 1982. Anyone from May 12, 2002 to present, you can search at http://classifieds.canada.com/edmonton/archives/index.aspx?cls_id=33935&goback=30. For anyone between December 31, 1982 and May 12, 2002, I can do that lookup for you if you can tell me who and when.

Aaron

RE: MacLellan's at St Mary's at Westlock
Hi Patricia

I have completed all the transfers save one. The William Maclellan memorial that I created was created Dec 02, 2010; the one that you created, you created yesterday. Yours is the one that should be cancelled. Once you have done this, I will transfer the one that I created.
